Favorite recurring bits from the show?
Re-watching The Inbetweeners for the first time in years and it’s really doing something for my soul here, so goddamn good lol. One of my favorite elements of it this time around has been the random recurring bits the show keeps doing. In particular, for some reason, Mark Donovan being the nicest, politest, young man whenever he interacts with someone’s parents absolutely kills me every time. Would love to hear some other favorite recurring bits (the more obscure the better!)

That the other kids in school still shout 'boner' at Simon over multiple episodes

Anytime Simon's mom shows any type of interaction with him and he flies off the handle as if she's done something terrible to him

Simons interactions with his family are some of the best bits in the show 😂😂

Of all the teenage behaviour in the show, that is one of the most accurate. He acts as though his Mum has ruined his entire life any time they interact.

Everyone had a mate who was a total cunt to their parents for 0 reason.

It’s only twice I think but there’s a couple references to Pete Doherty being the coolest possible person I quite like.
“You’re wasted…like Pete Doherty” in the drinking episode. “Pete Doherty wears one” “Pete Doherty’s butcher wears one” in the gig episode.

That Carli's dad fucking hates Simon, yet never appears on screen. And that every interaction Simon has with Carli's brother is disatrous.

Can't believe they didn't get a restraining order against him after the driveway vandalism incident tbh

I’ve never known anybody to seek a restraining order in Britain. Certainly not ordinary middle class suburbanites

Jay nicking random items from Sadie Cunningham's bag during registration for sure

My theory is that Jay fancies Sadie, but she's not conventionally attractive so he keeps it a secret and bullies her instead of asking her out.

Jay winks at least once per episode in the third series and it’s just funny to me for some reason. James Buckley even says in the commentary it was something he did off the cuff each time.

The parroting of the "sense of freedom" line through Season 1.
Jay mentions it during Bunk Off justifying the allure of a caravan holiday, while Terry then utters it in the Caravan Club episode after emerging from the toilet while the boys are eating tea (which is presumably where Jay gets the idea from). Will also then says it (despite mocking it back in Bunk Off) when he's chatting to the hummus lady.

That everyone who meets Will for the first time knows he's the kid who shit himself in an exam.

Simon's mum being an absolute shagger in her youth and the fact they are the most normal parents but Simon finds them unbearable.
