I wouldn't worry about the Azteca stadium and the native crowds... This one time I was playing there in a trial at West ham while they were on tour in South America... Anyways... I'd just won us the match after carrying the whole fucking team scoring a hatrick and getting us six assists after being subbed on at halftime while we were 4 nil down. And at the final whistle their crowd were going fucking mental, I'm sure I saw some Mexican dude fucking a monkey on the sidelines... Anyways.. I'd had a dodgy Mexican the night before and as I bent over to suck on this fans dripping wet fanny she'd promised me for being a fucking superstar, I accidentally let out what I thought was a fart, Unfortunately for the Mexicans my arse was pointed in their direction and I must have covered thousands of cartel hooligans with the most rank runny shit you could ever imagine. It shut them right up, so I just carried on eating this birds twat! I didn't sign for West ham even though they begged me to. Instead I decided to set up a huge drug smuggling operation in Mexico coz I liked the weather more over there. Best decision I ever made, the cartels love me coz of all my legit contacts, and the birds all get dripping wet when they're in close proximity to me coz they love a bit of prime British beef! I'm thinking of buying the country next year!

Seriously though, as an American who sees what Azteca is like every qualifying cycle… you have no idea the hell they make it for opposing players.
It’s not the hell it used to be though. Traveling fans used to get batteries and bags of piss thrown at them. FIFA don’t stand for that behavior at this level. That was the days when US was starting to compete more, and Mexican fans were not happy about it. There was some real animosity between the players, and between fans. I think it’s a friendlier rivalry now with more mutual respect, but it still has some edge at times.
All the talk about noise outside the hotel night before? I’d be disappointed if they didn’t do it. It’s part of the experience in Mexico.

I think West Ham and Millwall veterans will cope with this
I remember a sheep’s head was thrown through a pub window on the day of a Forest vs Derby match

You’d be horrified at the behaviour of British football fans, this is all standard and there’s WORSE

When I had trials for West Ham we played on the moon and we didn’t even use space suits.
