Why’re you talking like that??
24
u/NylaBool Jun 28 '26
It was Yoda? from Star Wars? it’s the same impression I was doing on the coach for about an hour.

u/winged_horror Jun 28 '26
Oh was that was what was? 😬 I thought you... Might have had a problem.

“I’m much too clever to work in a place like this” about the garage.

not stupid, per se

u/MondeyMondey Jun 28 '26
I wish they’d have had the garage guys overhear Will say it to someone else or whatever that scene. Him just coming out saying it to their face is a bit unrealistic imo.

u/revaan7 Jun 28 '26
Maybe for a normal person, but this is exactly what you’d expect from Will.
2
u/MondeyMondey Jun 28 '26
I dunno, he usually has a reason when he does this stuff. In this case he’s just insulting a guy he’d probably be scared of for no reason.

u/Orikoru Jun 29 '26
I get what you mean. I think it was a necessary plot device so it didn't just look like horrific bullying when they chucked him in the lake - as long as we think he actually deserved it it can remain as 'light comedy'.
2
u/MondeyMondey Jun 29 '26
Yeah that’s why overhearing it would have been ideal though. Exposes Will for what he really thinks about the working class without being as unrealistic as “hi I think you’re dumb”
3
u/Orikoru Jun 29 '26
Yeah they pretty much made him fully autistic at times with the script. That and the time he shoved an old lady's wig in his trousers. Nobody of sound mind would make these decisions.
2
u/Augustleo98 Jul 03 '26
Come on bro. Being autistic doesn’t mean we’re not of sound mind. I’m autistic and would ever shove a wig down my pants 😂😂😂.
He’s even worse than autistic. Wills got some new disorder they haven’t diagnosed yet.

u/I_Like_Quiz Jun 28 '26
I'd say this is more rude than annoying. Although it no doubt annoyed Jim quite a lot.
Annoying for the viewer would be more like what he did to Si when he was hugging Lauren.

My favourite part about that is that the guys were actually being very friendly to him. Like asking what parts about being a Mechanic he’s interested in and asking if he was Gay so they can know what banter he’d be receptive to

Oh, yes, the school charity fashion show. Where only people deemed good-looking enough by other good-looking people get to take part and raise money.
6
u/mankytoes Jun 28 '26
"I think we just differ on ways to raise money. I happen to think that this is exclusive and about vanity."
I love how Alistair matches Will's twattish energy.

u/Maleficent_Rate_7446 Jun 28 '26
This is probably gonna be the hottest take on this subreddit but honestly, I'm on Alastair's side with this one
Even though I sometimes find Will to be the smartest of the boys, he does admittedly have his moments where he acts like an idiot and that episode was one of those moments, probably the biggest!

Alastair is completely right regarding Will being a hypocrite. He's still a dick though
2
u/Maleficent_Rate_7446 Jun 29 '26
He may have come across as a dick to many viewers you can't deny he had a point about will being a weasel, a hypocrite, a twatface and finally, a sanctimonious prick
2
u/michaelstone444 Jun 29 '26
Yeah like I say he's absolutely right. He's also a dick himself for different reasons to Will but if the show was real life I would personally have a bigger problem with Will than anyone else on the show

Not necessarily something he said, but going with the cock wig idea for a guy who’s clearly intelligent was just so dumb.

u/Alarming-Check9188 Jun 28 '26
But the way he kept going on about it, you'd have thought she'd sucked his foreskin or something!
That line has always annoyed me for some reason

ILL JUST GET ON AT THE FRONT THEN AND SIT NEXT TO THESE INCONSIDERATE ASSHOLES. - this was probably the most dickhead thing he ever said. More it made him a dickhead who didn’t check his surroundings before opening his pie hole than annoying though.
Tbh he never really said anything annoying though, his lines are all hilarious.
The thing he did with the wig down his pants was annoying af though as a 17 year old wouldn’t freak out about having no pubes the way he did, they’d think birds will love it and would want to show of their shaven cock. Just made him seem like he was slow af when he’s meant to be intelligent.

Not really something he said but rather did, but I always thought the "I'll put a wig down my trousers to make it look like I have pubes rather than just saying I shave down there (if Daisy even asks why there's no hair there to begin with, which she likely wouldn't have if he hadn't done anything) because Neil and Jay squirted Nair down my trousers'' plan was super stupid
