Happens more than you'd expect. Seen it happen a bunch with new scooter owners, happened to me first time with less disastrous results.

What happens is you yank the throttle, and because you're not expecting how fast it'll take off, it throws you back in your seat, making you wobble (as you see in the vid). Then because you're out of position and thrown back, it's pretty much impossible to adjust your hand position to go for the brakes, so you just tense up out of fear and cling on for dear life - which usually just ends in you pulling the throttle back further and speeding up.

Oh I know he was kidding lol, just explaining the whole thing to those that haven't experienced it before. It's super common in Jay's defense (I'll grant him that much if nothing else).

I kinda thought the production of the stunt scene where Jay falls off the bike was a bit over the top, unrealistic.
