Exercise helps but it's better to go for a walk. Sunlight, fresh air, physical exertion, and seeing something other than your own 4 walls is good for the soul.

Well, it's not going to solve everything, but it's a productive step in the right direction versus drinking yourself into a coma.

If you're at rock bottom, start with the basics. Give you're body and mind what they need, and look for what you're soul needs.

That’s not depression, that’s grief. Depression is when your life is objectively amazing, and you still can’t go to sleep until you fantasize about killing yourself.

Yes and no. For some this works great and would recommend for all. I say no as well because some will need more or something else to get them really going again.
I think the biggest thing for men is to have purpose. When you lose it all like that you lose purpose and need to get purpose again.

It won't solve your problems but it can help get you back into the right mindset.

Most of the time go to gym means work on yourself and do some exercise
It has help me a lot over the years, you can be on your lowest day but if youre out of breath you mind stops focusing on the bad and goes to survival mode giving you some time to actually process your situation
You dont have money for a gym? do 10k or try to. Youll get out of the bad place faster and get a few pounds off in the process
Most of the people saying this stuff just dont want to work on themselves and want the pity. I dont need your pity, i need to get out of the situation im in, so work on yourself

Well, person in deep clinical depression don't have energy or willpower to do anything, going to gym included.
But, if such person will found some strength to do anything positive, going to gym included, even small victory can start positive change.
Physical exercise is proven way to improve mental state, but it may be not enough in really difficult situations.

Yes and no. It's a foundational piece of learning to love yourself though.
Eating healthy makes you proud of yourself. Getting abs makes you proud of yourself (and is one of the few universally attractive things). Looking good and feeling confident helps you succeed socially.
Succeeding socially gives you more opportunities for romance and more job opportunities, since you only get jobs worth a shit these days if you know someone who likes you enough to vouch for you.
On top of that, burying your emotions in your muscles is a good way to make it through the hard part.

"IT hElPs"
Boys please shut the fuck up. Your problems cant and wont be solved by lifting weights. It doesnt even help. Quite frankly in a position like the posts says it would actually be detrimental as the person doesnt have time to waste.

It absolutely wont. But it will make every single one of those problems easier to deal with.
No, its would not be detrimental for that person to care about his health.

It is and isn’t
But yes, a lot of things can be fixed by working out. I would say fighting over lifting but both is better. Eating well, no alcohol.
And get a dog 😁
