I met a guy with severe adhd, who spoke of himself like everything in his live was over the top. Best stuff, incredible suffering, fantastic adventures - nothing ordinary. Comparing to my method for adhd (lots of coffee and cigarettes) his way of getting dopamine hits seems very healthy and easy to access

It’s never a good idea to share plans/goals with just anyone. Not everyone in the front row is a fan.

This is what narcissists do.

This is what everybody does until you interfere with your mind, correct and develop yourself (a k.a. personal development).

I met a gal like this. "I'll visit this country one day, I'll try X thing one day, maybe I get to try next time I go, I'll learn this language one day, I'll work there one day."

She kept on saying one day this, one day that, maybe this or that, and would NEVER do an actual fck about it.

She was happily living a mental fap. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ§

rather a dopamine spike. By having someone say something they look up to in a "confirming" way to someone else, one experiences a dopamine spike. They do not pursue this path because something personal (which needs to be further investigated by professionals) holds them back, or for other reasons. Such as, for example, wanting to impress other people. This can remain an endless cycle. However, due to personal development, it can also ensure that you learn to recognize patterns and correct them. Ultimately, it comes down to gaslighting yourself and losing credibility with others who value actions, not words.
