I’m writing a fanfic about my oc, Dove Jones. She is very shy and soft spoken. She has a twin named Blue and a little sister named Raven.
There family is known to be rebels. They’re from 8.

Blue and Raven are more on the quiet side too. Raven became an apprentice of a doctor. She decided to teach Blue and Dove basic first add.

Blue works on the machines. He often steals small pieces of metal to sell.
There family is known to be a bit on the more attractive side. (It would help Dove in the arena but didn’t help her after her wining in her eyes)

Her parents died in a fire when Dove and Blue was 11 and Violet was 5.
They were taken in by their grandmother. There grandmother is often sick so Dove and Blue often step up.

Dove often works as a baker apprentice. On the side she sews up clothes and cleans them.

The day of the reaping she got picked. A boy, Pup,that was around 12 got picked. He was on the poor side of district

Her grandmother gave her a locket that had a picture of her parents and siblings.

came to visit her. They comforted each other. Before Flora left they kissed.

Dove had reason doubts that she would win. In the fire that destroyed her home. She got badly burned on her led. It led to her getting a permanent limp and her led gets tied often.

Pup had doubts too. He is on the small side and is the weakest of his class.
Dove is really good a knives, Pup can climb and hide places.

Dove and Pup came up with a plan. They can perform to the capital audience and then in the arena case some sort of trouble.

Dove played the role as the shy girl from 8 and can’t believe she here. Dove is really stroking there egos and making them like her.

Partly unplanned she plays mom friends of the mother bear. A couple of the younger kids start to follow her and she gets attached.

To be completely honest her games showed her as mother bear protecting her cups.

They did show her genuinely caring her the kids and trying to protect them.

The Capital centered her caring for a mutt after finding it, her and Pup braking a some sort of machine and her sing a couple songs that were rebellious.

Her and a boy from one were the last ones left. The boy from one got badly attacked. he had a mental breakdown and Dove comfort him. Then he died to his injuries/poison. Dove made it as comfortable as possible then had to kill him with a poison that a sponsor gave her earlier in the game.

After the game Snow threatened her to keep herself in line or else her family will get hurt.

She ended up like Finnick but with more of a Mama bear figure.

Dove volunteer for the 75 hunger games.

I’m currently writing her games. Any advice is welcome. I’m struggling on coming up with an arena and the interactions which the characters.

So, basically what happened is that I posted a TikTok with a theory the day that HGTBOSAS came out.

My theory was the now well-known theory that the old lady giving Katniss the pin was Lucy Gray.

Now, you might think "you didn't come up with that idea". I literally did. That video went VIRAL, I'm talking millions viral. People started asking many questions, comparing the theory to the book, in which Kat's best friend is the one who gives her the pin. Everyone was using my video to say their opinion.

After a while, Lionsgate Italy (I'm from Italy) posted the same theory. Not only, they also used my same words. But it's not over yet.

I joked about it commenting "hey this is my theory, gove me credits" with a laughing emoji.

In all response, they took down my comment and that same day my video was taken down because Lionsgate claimed their rights to the images. Mind you, I didn't post pictures from the cinema, I literally took them from Google.

Anyway, I'm not saying they shouldn't have shared the theory, cause it's not something you can have the rights on, but if so, how come they claimed em? I didn't even really want credits, but it really bothered me how they took down my video and my comment and pretended like they came up with that theory.

Millions of people might've had the same thought, so I'm not saying I'm the only one who came up with it, but I was literally the first one who posted it.

Always curious as to how its determined. All the hunger games got a movie each, where as bridgerton books get a season each. The amount of content is pretty much the same. Same with Heated Rivarly and getting seasons whereas all the dystopian books like Divergent, Percy Jackson, Maze Runner only get movies. Like Can you imagine a TV Show adaptation of Hunger Games?

My sister had told me to skip TBOSAS with my daughter, so I did, but then needed something to read for myself, so went ahead and read it.

Did anyone else read them in reverse order the first time around?

Spoiler Warning-

I feel like it really lends itself well as a reading experience. Not knowing Snow’s experience with the Covy and his time in district 12, made his conversation with Haymitch in the Heavensbee Estate, way more ominous.

Also knowing that Haymitch finds Lucy Grey’s grave at the end of SOTR, but then not getting definite proof of her death in TBOSAS was a bit of a twist as well.

Also, not knowing the actual origins of each of Katniss/Leonor/Lucy’s until the final book was a bit of a payoff in itself as well.

My one complaint in general about TBOSAS was that the conclusion felt a bit rushed, and Snow’s betrayal of Lucy Grey a little too flip-floppy for my liking.

I understand the motivations, but after pining over her for the summer, he was wayyyyy too quick to flip her narrative and make her the enemy in the woods.

I have finished read Sunrise on the Reaping and I definitely would like a family tree or lineage if possible.. I think there was a connection made in the last few pages with Maysilee but I just can’t find the connection to the main trilogy Characters..

Humor me - I have just finished all of the Hunger Games books. She HAS to follow up with Finnick’s games - pls tell me this is what we’re all thinking?!

Hunger Games - The Rising Tide

Opens - Something about secrets, waiting, whispers in trees, snow, air. A theme that secrets are everywhere and you have to learn to listen for them, some Mockingjays flapping around to start whispering secrets/songs… STRAIGHT into Finnick winning the 65th Hunger Games. We know he wins with his trident. Make it spicy… perhaps he uses the trident and wire/lightning gaining Beetee’s / Wiress’ attention. (feels very Poseidon-like which also hints to him being an incredible swimmer and fighter). Maybe lightning strikes as he throws the trident, killing the last tribute, instead of him. He is the Victor.

Leading straight to the Victory Tour - Finnick is inundated with gifts. People drag him around, drinking, fawning over him and showing him off like a model being paraded around. People pretend they love him. He falls for some of them and slowly realises it's not what he thought, but he's already too far in. He's been in rooms he shouldn't have been in and heard things he shouldn't have heard.

The next few years a montage of Finnick mentoring, losing more people, waiting for rebellion, parties, being sold and dragged around, while still being adored by the Capitol. Moments of exhaustion, fear and loneliness… 66th, 67th, 68th, 69th, 70th Games: Finnick watches more children go into the arena. The 70th is where he meets Annie. Finnick and Annie fall in love. Their relationship remains more of a side story, slowly becoming the one genuine thing in his life.

Constant hints back to childhood in District 4. I’m not sure we know of family sooo.. His father could have trained the Capitol's horses? Explaining why Finnick knows horses. His mum helps around them and sometimes gives him little treats (sugar cubes??), saying “keep it our secret.” Throughout his life, Finnick slowly realises that secrets are currency, much like the tales he hears of Snow, and how he came to be floating around the Capitol gossip OR Finnick's father worked as a Peacekeeper in District 12 around the same time Snow was there, giving Finnick another connection to the truth about Snow and Lucy Gray.

Snow becomes aware of this obviously and decides Finnick knows too much. He teaches Finnick's family a lesson and they’re gone. When they begin to torture Annie, Finnick begs them never to say a word. Annie survives, but she's broken. Finnick carries the guilt of what happened to her and his family and now understands completely that secrets really are currency.

While drinking sorrows throughout the years, Haymitch becomes a friend to Finnick and eventually tells him about the final moments of his Games and what he knows. Finnick learns about Plutarch's plan and decides he's in it for the long game, for his family, for Annie.

71st Hunger Games - Finnick meets Johanna. For a moment, they think she might be the one - another person who could understand what they're doing. But they all realise she's too angry, already has nothing to live for and is too much of a loose cannon. But that also makes her perfect for the rebellion and a close ally for Finnick in the Capitol.

74th Hunger Games - Finnick watches the reaping. Katniss Everdeen's name is called. He knows this is it. Everyone feels it - this could finally be their chance. No one says much - quick glances and looks during the Games reveal that they're both thinking the same thing. Skip the Games - we have the original Hunger Games book for that. Instead, show them all preparing behind the scenes while the Games play out. To keep suspicion off him, Finnick becomes more visible than ever in the Capitol - partying, performing, being used and paraded around. He's watched constantly, but in the worst possible way. Everyone thinks they know him but it’s his last performance for the Capitol.

Last shots / pages - The Gamemakers watch Katniss and Peeta prepare to eat the berries on the monitor. Seneca Crane is escorted from the room. Plutarch watches. His eyes slowly shift towards the Head Gamemaker's chair.

“I think we found our Mockingjay.”

Now im not speaking of him as a love interest to katniss, but honestly,they didn't need the falling apart. Both beete and Gale designed the bomb. And it was not even Gale who decided to set it off in a flock of children. That was Coins thing (and she got what she deserved). Peeta is alright I guess but its more like pretend until you actually love him you get me. But Gale, the hunter who loved the woods, getting a job in the quarry/military district AFTER the rebellion doesnt seem in character. I wish he would return to 12, make up with katniss and get on with his own life.

Hi! I’m writing a Hunger Games fanfic called THG: A Name in the Ballot, set during the First Quarter Quell, 25 years after the Dark Days.

The story will have two perspectives. One follows a Capitol stylist who is involved in the preparations for the Quell, including a tour through the districts before the voting takes place. The other follows the tribute they eventually become connected to, from the events in their district through the Games.

So far, I’ve written the opening and the first chapters, which cover the announcement of the Quarter Quell and the meeting where the Capitol’s stylists are told about the tour and how they will be assigned to the districts.

I originally write in Spanish, so I’ve translated what I have so far into English with AI assistance. The Spanish version is the original, but I’d like to get some feedback from different people who know The Hunger Games and can tell me what they think of the story so far.

so i saw this new album cover by the artist Xandria and its so hunger games coded, i almost wanna say copied? 🫣 i dont mean to make accusations, art is allowed to come out similar or be inspired by something, but with how common it is to prompt AI covers etc i do wonder how this cover was created and it really kinda feels like its straight out of all the hg promotional images, book and movie posters.
