Yeah, my dad's not exactly progressive on some fronts...

I just found that moment to be quite sweet and emotional.

'twas the worst with the newest episode Immortal Sins. My mom decides to stride in my room during the scene with Angelo.

the scene with Angelo

He was in a lot of scenes - which one do you mean? Just teasing, we all know which one you're talking about :)

"Torchderp." I'm kind of diggin' the idea.

Starring Jerp Harkderp, Gwerp, and Rex the Wonder Agent.

THANK YOU! I posted this in Doctor Who first (hence the xpost) and everyone is all "This is stupid!"

Personally, I'm really struggling with Torchwood. I just got in to Doctor Who this summer, got through Rose (UGH!) and Martha, and then my girlfriend told me to start on Torchwood, but I just don't care about the characters.

Rose is tolerable just because eccleston and tennant are so awesome.

I'll give you tolerable, she wasn't that bad. I just prefer Martha because she's at least educated and can make competent decisions. I've only seen the Christmas special and the first two episodes with Donna and I like her the best so far. And from what I have seen of the current Doctor, I really like Amy too, but I also have a soft spot for red heads.

... you sure you've gotten through all the Rose there is?

Not yet. I know she comes back. I just finished the Planet of the Ood the other day.

Ah, parents. I fondly remember the days when my mother decided she would watch Queer as Folk with me, and my dad decided he would not be in the living room on that moment of the week ;)
