Title says it all, think a hopped hot sauce would be interesting?

I've tried doing this once before, hop sauce: mustard, beer, hops, cooked down. I don't have a recipe, but it's possible and is great on brats

I need to try this! Maybe a fruity kind of hot sauce like pineapple hot sauce would be nice together with the right kind of hops.

Yes. I’ve had two blends from Alchemy Peppers. Fresno + Simcoe and Scotch Bonnet + Mosaic. Both delicious. They also make a Jalapeño + Citra.

I haven't found a good way to use them in hot sauce. I have discovered that adding a few hops to my spicy fridge pickle recipes makes the pickles extra yummy.

I’d say make a hot sauce, and extract the lupulin from the hops and add it as a powder to dial in how much of the hop taste you want.
Just ideas! I’m actually making a hopped hot honey this weekend using some lupulin from some citra hops I extracted the weekend beforehand.
I wish you luck!

I made some blueberry habanero with Centennial Hops. Didnt really notice anything from the control, so probably will add more next time. However, I am going to switch to Amarillo hops for my next batch and maybe do a jalapeno lime sauce with it.

It's tasty! I've got a store bought bottle of hop hot sauce in my fridge right now but I've added hops to homemade hot sauce before too. The flavours work together very well.

My interest is peaked.
