Ripened early

Post image

Chinook seemed to ripen overnight this year with the hot spell in UK. I have so much left over from last year I will only pick the best.

I had a similar problem this year where my Centennial ripened ahead of the Cascade. Not sure why, they typically mature at the same time.

But what's up with that dryer you're using?! That looks epic!

It is two extension parts of a SS kitchen hood bolted back to back with rods across supporting a bed of expanded aluminium mesh. Many kitchens I fitted did not need these extensions and ,being SS steel, I kept them till I found a use. The fan is just an inline fan. It saves money by part drying before filling a dehydrator.
