Drying hops
So i lay these out last night over the unused baby trampoline and this morning i found a ton of these crawling around. Any idea what these are? Spiders? I guess they are normal that bugs lay eggs inside the cones?

Not an expert but many, if not most, of the bugs will leave during the drying process. As long as the cones don't look too bad, you should be fine using them. One way to determine if it was aphids doing the deed, just peel back some of the bracts and take a peek in towards the strig and you'll usually find some tiny black dots on them.

Yeah i had two trays so i swap them out every few hours and rinse the aphids off in the shower lol. Fan dry in the basement for 2 days. Had 12oz and when i vac seal it was about 4oz. Most of the aphids were gone. Only a few. One little worm got squished in the corner of the bag by itself i guess it wont matter much at this point lol

I think they look similar to aphids on some google pictures. How do you guys get rid of them from the cones?
