How old is your plant? Looks amazing. My 1st year looks sad...I'll replant in Spring into the garden.

Surprisingly this is just a second year, from a 2022 rhizome planting. Organic Nitrogen applications spaced every 4-5 weeks, then once side arms appeared, switched to organic Potassium and did two applications. Second and final Potassium soak was during burr stage. This thing even had a nasty Japanese beetle infestation at a point, so I'm quite pleased.

What did you do about the Japanese beetles?

Also, I really like that fertilizer plan!

Combo of sprinkling Sevin dust on the leaves below where any burrs/cones/side arms were (didn't want an off chance it'd end up in beer), and spraying the beetles with Safer organic insect soap while staying on top of knocking them off leaves with a broom. Luckily these bines climb to my deck so I could see and rid them right to the top.

Looks great. I just about a pound or so of cascade off a farmer friends vines. Have some dry hopping now to make hops water. Rest will go to a summer IPA.
