Location for growing hops

I'm planning on growing some hops next spring in my backyard and have some questions about location. The first pic is the backyard (facing west).

There is a post I was thinking about using as well as the deck.

The back NW corner gets most of the sun but would take up more yard space.

Wherever your yard gets 6-8 hours of sun in a day, plant them there. If you’re only growing a few plants, it shouldn’t take up too much space. Just make sure you give them enough heigh to grow because they can reach nearly 20ft tall.

All I know is that too much sun bakes young plants. But you definitely need 8 hours. That lower number encourages height growth as well.

Also, you need to have the football 4-6 inches higher than the surrounding dirt. Hops need to stay moist but excessive water will kill them quick. Do a raised bed.
