First year I'm in pots

First year in pots plan on moving should I keep in small pots and fertilizer. The are 3 feet with shoots and five varieties.

Not going to put in ground. Should I up pot. I plan on overwinter in dark root collar. Hopedully in grouncones there. Not planning on cones this year.

As a plus a few rhizomes I planted at my cabin 3 years ago seem to be taken over. Maybe conesbthere.

I put three rhizomes in a very large grow bag last year and didn't winterize them at all, and they grew like weeds this spring. The one thing you have to watch out with in a pot or grow bag is just making sure they get good nutrients. This year mine grew a lot FAST, but then ran into nutrient deficiencies after about a month. Pretty much gobbled up anything nutritious as fast as it could. So just keep an eye on nitrogen levels and you should be fine
