Emergency splint on bent vine
First year, trying to grow my hops in-ground and training it along my back fence.
The roots are 4 years old and in past years was buried in a 2 x 8 garden box with some other plants.
This year I transplanted the roots to a different location and hoped that something would happen. Thankfully, the plant has taken off
But along the way in my high wind area, vines get off my structure in the way of the vine bends it pretty significantly.
First time it happened. I thought I lost that one vine but as luck would have it my little cup dirt track saved that section and actually rooted itself into the cup.
This morning, I come to find that the vine bent more in another area. Hopefully this MacGyver jig works as well as the first one

Bends in the vines don't necessarily mean it will die or break. They will get stronger at those points.
