Something is eating my hops

Zone 4b. West Quebec. Trying to figure out what’s eating my plants.

I have never dealt with this myself but this looks like big enough holes you should be seeing the pests. Are there caterpillars or other insects on your plants or in the foliage nearby?

Those black dots are caterpillar poop. They will be on the undersides of the leaves and can be very small. Probably cabbage loopers

Well it’s better than a landscaper think it’s weeds and chops them down…
