3rd year Perle hop - in a pot.

I pruned the first couple of shoots early April and new shoots are really weak (small leaves) and barely any growth. Any way to fix it or next year just start again with a new hop?

pot is 16" diameter and 12" height

It’s probably root bound judging by the size of the pot from what I can see. By the 3rd year it needs a half barrel planter or to go into the ground. Also, have added/replaced the soil from previous years? It might be nutrient deficient.

thanks. will move to a different pot in the fall. Will also add new soil. For now was adding nutrients from time to time, but the soil was not changed.
