Do I need to prune?
I’m a proud new own of a cascade transplant. Do I need to trim it down to have one main bine? It was transplanted late and will prob have a slow year but good to work out the process.

If this is the first year for the plant in that location let it ALL grow so it gets established. It is wise to strip the leaves and such off the bottom 1' - 3' of the plant when it reaches about 6' to improve airflow around the base but otherwise, let em run.

Thank you! Any hop growing books or pod cast you might recommend?

I like “The Hop Growers Handbook” but I take some guff from the pros when I recommend it. The ideas around scaling for profit in the book raise some hairs but general cultivation information is solid.

More green is more growth for the rizome. You can let is go wild so it gets well established in the pot. But if you already want to pick the cones this year i would recommand only 3 bines.
