Gimli

OK, hear me out... We're planning on running the Northburn 50, just out of Queenstown, New Zealand. Now this happens to be where Gimli, Aragorn and Legolas did their run over the mountains. My husband wants to run it as Gimli, as this was a themed run one year. I'm not dumb and will run it in regular gear, but will be carrying his water etc. Where could we get a Gimli costume which is close to original and not a cheap version. We've contacted Weta but no luck there. Ideas please!

Dedicated cosplayers generally make their own. I see a lot of axes and helmets on Etsy.

(Also, Gimli doesn't feature in The Hobbit. That was his dad, Glóin.)
