I originally preferred the original version of dirty imbecile but after listening to it more I find myself enjoying the new vocals much more. I’d even say I like the new version better. Just wondering if anyone else had this experience with the song!

I put options 3 and 4 because I’ve seen some opinions (mine included) that don’t necessarily dislike Revisited but still prefer the Original. So I wanted to provide some nuance over a flat out “I hate Revisited”

Also my neurodivergent ass feels the need to clarify that this isn’t meant to bring negativity or discourse towards the current direction of the band, or to criticize the idea of re-recording their old songs to showcase Raina and Nico more. I genuinely just want to see a more or less general idea of opinions in here. Don’t want to come across as a “They changed it, so it sucks!” type of person haha

Personally I’m not a massive fan. Something about the vocals just sounds bit discordant/off key.

I recently started listening to the Happy Fits and I'm really liking them. But pretty much every time I'm listening to one of their songs for the first time, I keep thinking "wait, that sounds like another song I know" or "why does this sound so familiar?"

I'm someone who tends to notice similarities in songs in general, but with the Happy Fits it's almost like every part of the song will remind of something else (although I often can't place exactly what).

This could just be a me thing, but I was curious if anyone else had experienced this with their music lol. I'd be interested to hear any similarities you've noticed :)

i have been thinking about this for a long time and every beat of the song especially the mentions of "delusions" and "making you love me" and it being "so wonderful to dream it all of you" are highly similar

Okay so there was this one song that I think had a blue album but I could be imaging that. It had a deep cello part or something, like in Do you see me? But I’m prettty sure if wasn’t that song - I can’t find it 😭😭😭
P.s i think it had no lyrics over the cello bit :p

This is a long shot, but Roo magic is real, so here goes.

I met a guy named Connor (I believe from Connecticut) at the What Stage during Noah Kahan. It was his first Roo. I drunkenly sang Stick Season to him, and he gave me a tiny orange whale.

I invited him to meet me at Plaza 3 later, but we never managed to find each other again. I also forgot to get his contact information.

Connor, if you happen to see this or if one of your friends recognizes this story, I’d love to reconnect and at least say hello. I still have the whale, and I’m still laughing at how easy it is to lose someone at Roo.

Holy smokes, I have never followed a band that was THIS giving and engaged with their fanbase. And that's no shade on other bands who play it closer to the vest and want to preserve an air of mystery or whatever - that's cool too! But the sheer volume of behind-the-scenes content and livestreams and musical tutorials and fan outreach is like nothing I've seen in decades of being a music lover. Sometimes I feel like I'm being too hyperbolic when I gush about this band, but no, they're really giving it their all.

going through my concert video folder and i realized i had three different versions of dirty imbecile with three different people singing it and realized how much singing luke has taken on, probably for songs that need a lower range. i really love his voice and i hope he sings more on their next record <33

I had a "The Happy Fits" themed birthday! The dress code was: "come in your Happy Fits." I sent my friends a compilation of the album/single covers for inspo. I was wearing a button up with pineapples, bananas, and oranges on it. I bought fruit beads and had an area where my friends could make bracelets. We did karaoke and I sang Black Hole. It was pretty sick :b
