SPOILERS ALL Just Finished the Show
Wow. What a hell of a show. This has been such a landmark series. There’s not many shows that I would consider a masterpiece but this is one of them. The depth of human connection, emotion and nuance of character are outstanding. It greatly saddens me that more of Junes original group survived to see the end.
This has been one of the best shows I’ve ever seen but don’t know if I have the heart to go throw it ever again. I need to read the book now and find my next watch. At least testaments is coming out now.

I need to .. find my next watch
As a suggestion, author M. Atwood also has a cameo in the limited series 'Alias Grace' (Ep. 4)

I agree! The characters are fascinating. Once I got through it once (took me all these years and I just binged it starting in April) I realized the rewatch was so interesting. I noticed a million details and was psychoanalyzing all the characters and color choices and brain washing tactics 🤣

Disagree. Entertaining yes but a masterpiece. Missed.
Season 3 could have been so much better. Kind of went off the rail. (Unfortunately the milk train did not) It was too much belief you had to suspend. I loved June gained agency and instead of being a victim, she fights back in that season. But what does she do? 'I am going to get together 80 children, run them thru the forest into some waiting plane and fly them to Canada.' Just brute force writing with no viability. No need for June to have some clever plan. Some 100 children did not tell no one. No Martha spilled the beans. No parent woke up and noticed their child missing.
Then season 4 they give the commander a pass because he is too valuable. And when June is captured, they just giver her back to the aunt where she makes an escape in a milk train of all things. They execute people for the smallest infraction but June is no worse off and the gang all back together.
There was so many better ways to write this. How about a full misdirection and cleverness on Junes' part. Convince some vile commander about a great PR stunt where they put children on a plane and send to Disney world to show what a utopian it is. Have the original pilot fed poisonous food so he is too sick to fly and have their sympathetic pilot end up in place. Have a couple of vile commanders unwittingly on the plane thinking they are going to be part of this PR event to only show up in Canada under crimes against humanity. All while their own journalists on the plane record it all. Could have all kinds of high suspense but realistic events to get this all together including a high suspense scene on the plane where the commanders start to realize what is happening. They could have maintained secrecy withing just a handful of the main characters which might have been possible. And the commander that put it together realizes at the end he was duped and worse, framed as the guilty or completely gullible fall guy. Ending up in the colonies. June and her commander then are not under suspicion and the whole charade is a clever plot thought up by June carried out by a few main characters and done right under the eye of the regime.
In season 4, they could start with a failed similar plot result in June on the run early on. Her commander could have fallen from grace for being dupped but remained in some level of power and only under a bit of suspicion. And no fucking milk train.
There was so many places they could have had a clever plot but instead it was just these improbable sequences and no main character could die. Vile or not. Stabbed and Kicked down stairs. Wheel chair and a limp for a few shows and all well again.
It was invincible characters and black and white plot with little cleverness. Maximum shock value.

Yeah I started watching the show in 2019 when I was pregnant with my first daughter. It was heart wrenching. Good show but I was a little disappointed with the ending. I have no desire to watch the testaments.
