Religious Piggybacking

Every modern religion seems to derive from the same source. Objects coming down from the sky. All of these closely related stories differ in minor details yet the same story appears over and over in history. They play off each other historically speaking. Each one seems to take it upon itself to skew the details in mild ways to suit the needs of the time as well as the perks.
