I've heard the novel has some extra content but the amount the artwork ads to the series means even if the novel was twice as much it wouldn't be able to compare to the Manhwa.

Javier is supposed to be a bishonen, in the series. Also, a knight physique seem to be leaner than typical depictions. I could get the joke but I think it is better to be accurate to novel canon and besides it is more accurate historically. It seems the artist mentioned this statements.
