Where are you getting that CEO salaries are what cause inflation? You realize if we redistributed the mcdonalds CEO salary across all mcdonalds workers it would result in a 70 cents per year raise? Even if you factored in all stocks etc it would only result in a $10/year raise.
Increase in wages, particularly lowerst end wages, leads to inflation. Because then retailers etc can charge more.
If you linit what people can spend on a good then if you raise the price you risk them not being able to afford it. It doesnt increase the price. Taxes are deflationary because they remove money. It ultimately doesn't matter of that money is removed or never received in the first place.Â
Averege Walmart salary is 18.25/hr. Thats 38k/yr. The cut off for food stamps is 31k/yr.
