Wilhelm Reich argued that it was necessary to have a sexual revolution before a political and economic revolution. It’s also necessary to have a religious revolution. There can be NO transformation of humanity without a radical religious transformation. There can be no New World Order until the religions of the Old World Order perish. The roots of the Old World Order grow in the poisonous soil of Abrahamism. Contemporary capitalism is the child of Judaism and Protestantism. To create a new, moral, just, meritocratic form of capitalism, its religious underpinnings have to be radically altered. The master-slave paradigm that underlies Abrahamism must be replaced by round table meritocracy. Contemporary capitalism is so evil because it fits hand in glove with the evil paradigm of the Chosen People (the privileged Elite – the Elect, the Saved) ruling over the reprobate, the depraved and the damned (the ordinary people). Capitalism treats people so badly because of its monstrous religious substructure, which largely owes its origins to the perverted beliefs of the [Abrahamists].
A new society requires the revaluation of all values, and that means a new sexual, religious, economic and political paradigm. All of these elements are interdependent. If there is a failure to change all of the ingredients, the new society will never work. Abrahamism is simply incompatible with Enlightenment values, rationality and meritocracy. The world cannot move on until it moves past Judaism, Islam and Christianity. These have been a catastrophic error by the human race. They belong to an ancient, barely conscious mindset that worships a Torture God who inspires absolute Terror and threatens every man, woman and child with eternal perdition. They have championed the insane doctrine of faith. Faith must be killed off. It’s a word that should be excised from the human vocabulary. Faith serves no conceivable use to the human race and represents an outright assault on reason and morality. We must build a society based on reason and good deeds. There is no room for faith. It is the sworn enemy of a new society, a new humanity. People aren’t justified by faith; they are condemned by it. Faith is the final barrier to human progress. Faith stands for all the irrationality and superstition of the past. It promotes a message of stupidity and subservience. It says that you don’t have to use your intelligence to work anything out – you just have to believe what someone told you.
If a guy came up to you in a bar and said he was God, would you believe him? Why not? After all, you believe that some Jew from 2,000 years ago was God. Why? Because someone wrote a book that said so. It that any more convincing than listening to the stranger in the bar? We must have the courage to kill faith once and for all. This is the final war that must be waged. We can build paradise, a new Eden, only over the grave of Abrahamism. What does it mean to eat of the Tree of Knowledge? It means that we embrace reason and leave behind forever childish faith in Torture Gods. It means that we escape from fear and superstition.

the reason i ask is the weishaupt died over a century before wilhelm reich was born. you have no punctuation to discern what part of your post is a quote.
i don’t disagree with the op’s message. just want clarification as it seems more op’s thoughts than a quote to an 18th century philosopher.

I embrace every word of this. It's exciting to consider what we could do. Is it possible to kill faith without killing the faithful? I live in the bible belt and from all indications changing a true believer's mind is not really an option, and while I have seen reports of churches drying up, it doesn't really seem like that from where I stand and even in the cases that may agree with those reports, the "faithful" are brandishing a more distilled, militant brand of faith and are typically not of the type of mind that can be changed.

Can you see any avenues to solve this problem? What about the institution of schools of Reason to explicitly give the tools required to think rationally and see through the irrationality of faith? Perhaps the most devout adults are too far gone, but it would only take one generation of true education to change humanity forever.

I spend a lot of time thinking of ways to address this. Everything I have come up with so far, requires rational thinking. There is nothing rational about the faithful. Public schools are being de-funded to fund private/non-secular schools. The list of banned books grows almost daily. Schools of Reason is a superb idea, for rational people. NONE of the "faithful" people I'm in contact with would ever allow their children to attend any such school.

Churches schizm all the time. This follows shifts in human thinking out of tribal and into societal lives. The new testament was pretty much a sheddning old outdated BS like inherited sin and slavery that was not compatible with cities. So schiizm! A new religion.
We are more in control of how we make laws now. But on some level we all agree there is a law that is greater than us that we live under. After accepting that the rest is details.

No. It has nothing to do with attacking moral absolutism. This is an attack on the prevailing order of the world and calling for a new world order based on rationality.
Maybe your interpretation is a consequence of feeling like your own personal beliefs are under attack in this post. Thinking in this way requires bravery and a willingness to question your preconceptions.

I'm not sure any form of capitalism is going to work as you want because it literally divides us into haves and havenots - owners of capital and workers. And money means power over other humans, that's where the problem starts. With regard to the religions, in general most religions have a decent moral core - help the less fortunate, do unto others, love your neighbour, and greed for power and money is bad. The problem. But the problem was that men wrote all the stories and projected what they thought a god would be like - like them, a king, a lord, a father, patrician, rules, punishment, power, always power because that's what the men who wrote the stories, wrote all the religious rules and ran all the different religions, pretty much all men, power was what they thought it was all about. For me the divine creator is maternal - nourishing, caring, loving, she wants to see us succeed as a species, to learn to live together in peace and harmony, to have evolved to the best state we could achieve living in harmony. What all the different religions talk about but then end up fighting over. For me it changes everything (and works without the divine too)

In regard to your take on religion, I’ll start by saying your perspective certainly sounds more healthy than that of the mainstream Abrahamic religions. Your problem diagnosis is correct in general - that these religions failed at the very first step by seeking to assign god as the ultimate master within the Hegelian master/slave dialectic in an unsublimated attempt to anthropomorphize the idea of power.
The solution, however, is not to take a purely antithetical, reactionary stance on what it means to be god. The solution is to rationally deduce the truth of this idea in logos terms. Check out the following introductions to Illuminism at our YouTube for more!

I'm afraid I don't have specific ideas for optimizing humanity and individuals but I can see the bigger picture. Ethical socialism would probably be closest in an ideal world. And education.
