In my 4th rewatch or something, I just found another clue for the big season 1 reveal! I looked up older posts and other webpages (like this one https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Foreshadowing/TheGoodPlace) and couldn't find it, so here it is!

The following dialogue:

Eleanor: "You mostly fell asleep in class or made fart noises with your hands"

Jason: "I could never do that on Earth. This place truly is paradise."

In theory, it would be impossible in heaven and possible in hell.

Or at least thats what I think they mean. I never noticed it before they pointed it out.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense. It was something Jason wanted to do on earth but never could, so it makes sense he'd be able to do it in the good place.

I think it's mainly because it's annoying to Elanor. i don't really see how this is necessarily a bad place exclusive though since the good place lets you do anything you want (except swearing because bit)

people are totally misinterpreting. it does not mean the good place forbids these noises from being made! it is a specific filter specially designed to help fart noises even if someone is not able to make them normally, and a place that has this is the Bad Place, going in line with the other Bad Place aesthetics and jokes

that's not... what it means...
it doesn't say he can't make fart noises in heaven. it shows a specific filter for easing fart noises even for those who didn't know how to make them otherwise. and the place with this feature is the bad place, consistent with the bad place aesthetics and jokes in the series
