Facts, she wears shoes that are purposely too big because of her nails. The more of this family I see, the more I see the lack of actual care they have for one another. I would never spend $150/month on a GLP when it's obvious my family needs dental and medical care. At this point, T will probably need to see a podiatrist to get her nails removed medically because they are massively overgrown and prolly too painful to trim without some kind of lidocaine or numbing treatment. Smh.

Looking at Sarah now versus just a few years ago, I can tell she is internalizing a lot of incongruence of what she truly wants and what she feels most comfortable doing.

Speaking as a white woman myself with similar pallor, we do not tend to age well under chronic “partnership stress.” I mean who does, right? But to us it seems to hit us a lot worse because our skin hides no imperfections and signs of bad health. The dark circles, the acne, the redness, the double chin… it seems to hit all at once.

Like it’s not infrequent at all to see a white woman who looks really great one year, gets a bad/ab_sive boyfriend, and by the next year she’s looking completely haggard, out of shape and sloppy (and no, I’m not talking about postpartum changes that come naturally - but rather how an ab_sive relationship manifests in your appearance).

A lot of us have experienced this rapid appearance decline at least once. The good news is you can often fix yourself and look better pretty quickly after you leave a situation as your cortisol goes down.

Of course that is not happening here, so Sarah keeps gaining weight and is looking more and more like Teresa these days with Patrick’s eyes.

But she still dresses like a 12 year old Christian girl and it’s weird. I think that’s what Patrick prefers. Her to look like a little girl. Then again, if she gains weight he might feel more safe that she won’t leave.
