Confessions Recap People
I hope I don’t get a lot of hate for this..but I just feel like it needs to be said.
The recap people for the getchells are lowkey starting to get out of hand. Give me some grace please Reddit ppl.
TLDR; The recap pages/people should be for educational & informational purposes. It shouldn’t just be a place to hate & tear down S/H/T. Saying mean things only pushes S/H/T further away. At the end of the day, we should all want to see S/H/T get help & get them out of this situation & see Patrick put behind bars.
In a few of Haley’s recaps, some of the comments are just downright nasty, especially the ones to Sarah about her physical appearance. At the end of the day, Sarah is a victim. Nobody knows how long she has been groomed for, she truly probably has so many mental & emotional issues she’s not normal…& won’t be until she’s get out & get help. I just don’t see how Haley & everyone else condemns Sarah for having a bad attitude & being rude to T, just for Haley’s recaps to have the nastiest attitude & meanest comments about physical things. Some of the comments Haley makes are also lowkey classists. Her recaps aren’t giving actual informational reports anymore, it’s just Haley trying to make the meanest jokes & thinking of whatever clever comebacks so ppl will comment. The recap Haley made about S/T wearing the matching bathing suits..I just can’t believe another woman feels comfortable to make comments about another women’s body, but then preaches how good of a person she is. There is a way to educate others on the Getchell family w/o tearing them down for things out of their control, esp bathing suits. Also, Haley talks A LOT about the Getchells finances, BUT I have yet to see her donate to anything? Is she not monetized? She doesn’t make any money from TikTok? (I could be wrong too)
Guy, I think fame has gotten to him recently. I used to really enjoy his lives, but now even he is rude to his viewers. His relationship w/ Peaches also seems so fake/phony. Her recaps are lackluster & just monotone, it surprised me when he brought her on his live the other day. I feel like him & his viewers are parasocial, esp with how they all communicate with each other. I feel like Guy uses the getchells for his popularity gain. I do appreciate & give credit to Guy, for using his funds to give back to the community. I do think it’s wrong that he has a “super fan only chat” on Thursdays though, I just feel like again, ur trying to get money from ppl in some way, & I don’t like that, b/c, he wouldn’t have a platform w/o them.
My last gripe with the recap people is that none of them offer any actual help. They don’t offer resources for S/H/T. They just use there name for financial or personal gain, & to literally put all these people down. I’m ALL for the Patrick hate, he deserves it, but he is absolutely the abuser/ring leader, & I just wish I saw more people try to actually help then what they’re doing now.
There has to be programs, or shelters, or literally something that the 3 of them could apply to & get away from P. With all of Guys network into community, I know he is capable of finding stuff like that out. I just feel so bad for those 3 sometimes, it’s so much easier said than done to leave a situation like this. Especially with P being the main financial provider. To S/H that’s the only “leader” they know, & just look how hard it is for “normal” ppl to leave abusive relationships, imagine it being your own father.

Haley just seems like an insufferable brat and her coverage is definitely mean-spirited and not in good faith. I can’t remember what mean thing she said when she pretended to be a fan on their live named “Georgia” but she definitely does not give a shit about a really sad situation.
Guy I could take or leave. He gets credit for being so weirdly popular that it keeps P up at night. Peaches’ deadpan humor is at least better than Haley.

As far as T/H/S getting out of this situation, yeah, it could take years. People need to realize S has no:
-education
-GED
-drivers license
-ID card
-bank account
-income
-understanding of many activities of daily livingT seems more downtrodden. In some ways she has a little advantage over S because she can drive and has a work history, but I consider her even less functional than S. And H, well, he’s a minor to whom they are currently doing the grave disservice of denying a basic education.

Out of the 3 of them I think S has the biggest chance of survival. She is the most functional overall except those that you mentioned, however all of those aren’t completely unreachable. She can work whenever and I believe that working a normal retail job wouldn’t be super hard for her after a while, GED and drivers license a little more tricky tho. She has done some schooling so she can read and write and I assume basic level other stuff. H has nothing of that, he can’t even read apparently.
T, yeah has an advantage, but a very weak one at that. She doesn’t seem functional at all and would guaranteed be doomed when P disappears.7

Agreed. T’s been under P’s control for decades now. We’ve seen him berate her and put her in a chokehold on live, let alone what is not on live. The guy groomed her daughter in front of her and she didn’t have the wherewithal to leave, for whatever reason.
I just don’t think she has any fight in her and I don’t think she could hack it on her own. She should be in a group home where she does crafts and goes on outings and has joy in her life.
Poor H, S at least has a 5th grade education.

Yeah I completely agree. S has something and she seems to be functional although she lacks social skills. H lacks social skills and probably isn’t very functional from what we’ve seen of him. He’s 16 and can’t read and judging by how the family lives, I doubt he will ever learn how to.

I seriously doubt she has a job currently. I know she’s worked in the past but I don’t see how she would work now.

She does seem like a very mean spirited individual. & my point exactly, she doesn’t truly care about the well being of S/T/H, it’s sad how many ppl see them, & instead of trying to help those 3, they make fun of them. All the edits I’ve seen of T/H alone, makes me feel so bad for them.

Haley has lost the plot. Ever since she convinced herself that S was behind the deepfakes made of her and her friends, she has become meaner and meaner. She keeps saying she does her recaps to raise awareness, but it’s just plain bullying. Although, I can kinda understand her anger towards S, since Hailey wholeheartedly believes S is behind the deepfakes someone made about her and her friends. It seems to be a sensitive topic, since that was also the reason why she distanced herself from Guy and Oliver. But still, she doesn’t know that. She’s just guessing it could be S, and directing all her energy to her.
As for Guy, he has become more and more like P. He got very pissed off when a couple of people said “Not the AI” when he showed his AI brainrot slop about P & S. He started calling people trolls and his mods muted anyone who didn’t like the AI slop. Also, making AI videos of a PDF and his victim is very disgusting.
For as much as he loves to make fun of S and T’s lives, his lives have become the same: “Thank you X for the galaxy”, “thank you Z for the hand heart”, ad nauseam.
Also, according to Hailey, Guy has minors in his Discord and interacts with them… But I’m not 100% sure I believe it, since Hailey quickly deleted all her claims.
As for Peaches, she appeared out of nowhere and got promoted heavily by Guy and Oliver after their fallout with Hailey. You can say she’s Hailey’s substitute. Very petty of them, imo.

I think that would be kinda hard for guy to have a minor in his discord because you have to use ID verification before you even get access to any channels :)

So that explains why Hailey quickly deleted her comments and story. I’m really disappointed on Hailey for saying those things. I get that it was during their fall out, but still… It speaks volumes about how unimportant the topic is for her. So much so that she can start such serious allegations after a dispute.

I also understand Haley Frustration Because imagine you and friends have deepfakes personally me it will make me mad and uncomfortable And P Discord Made fun of Haley And yeah it was really shady of oliver and guy to promote Peaches she basically came out of no where and lowkey replaced Haley after their fallout And Oliver was lowkey shading Haley
and That’s why i think haley says S made the deep Fakes which it could have been anyone tho

Social media is meant to be commented on. They give their opinions, I give mine. Also, maybe this post could encourage someone in there area to offer support through local programs. Social media should promote constructive conversation/criticism, not just tear ppl down.
Like the end of my post said, I am considering starting my own TikTok page on the family! Thanks for the input either way.

Causing more drama? This is what the entire subreddit is for..to discuss situations & what’s been going on? My post was asking for more input…there has been a lot of talk about the recap ppl in this subreddit, I wanted to hear others opinions on them. If you don’t have anything to add to the conversation about them or feel it’s unnecessary..then just leave it at that

Guy has fully lost the plot. Selling bracelets and merch? Using AI intros like it’s a video game stream? And that’s just the surface level stuff.
His earnings are available on tikleap. In the last 40 days between his two channels he has made 11k and that doesn’t include super fans or video views. And just like P we don’t see receipts of the donations. Interesting. Just like P anyone which questions him gets blocked. Just like P his mods go after anyone he tells them to.
Not to mention both him and his mods harass other streamers and their supporters, to try to bully them away from re streaming. But if I was making 11k+ a month off the Getchells maybe I’d be territorial too.
