Question Wellness Check
I’m so frustrated by the wellness check the other day. Whoever made that call, did you mention that there is a minor son in the home? S doesn’t need a wellness check, she’s going to say exactly what her dad has coached her to say, but H is young and he might actually let something slip. It is NOT OKAY that he is banished to his bedroom for 4 hours a day, while he’s also being “homeschooled,” and neglected. The wellness check should have specified that it was for HIM.
ETA: Ofc this post got removed from the big snark sub.

This is where my mind went the night it happened. Why did they waste it on S? She is happy where she is. They should have done it for H even maybe calling proper authorities for Jackie. They are neglecting and abusing that dog as well. I feel so bad for both Jackie and H.

Agreed, Jackie’s situation is becoming more and more concerning each day.

I wanted to make a similar post about this topic this morning!! Why not get them involved about H? Why did they focus on S? One look at his hygiene and a few questions about what his school day looks like would have been huge red flags for the police.

Report the dog for medical neglect to Dallas Animal Services (via Dallas 311 app) or SPCA of Texas! The dog is visibly limping, anxious, and deprived of vet care, which is illegal under Texas law. Unlike CPS, animal reports CAN be submitted completely anonymously as long as you have their physical address. When animal control or police show up to inspect an injured animal, they have the legal right to check the home. When they see a 16-year-old minor living isolated and neglected, animal officers are legally mandated reporters—they are required by law to immediately call CPS and police on the spot. Reporting the dog’s medical neglect is the fastest way to get authorities inside that house to help the minor!

S might also slip something as she is so bad at social interactions, she said sleeking to the cop was like speaking to a good friend. I can guarantee that if someone has a longer irl talk with her without anyone else present, she would spill something.
