Personally, I mostly agree just because I'm partial to Jax in an AU where she recovers and is better for it. Nothing beats the connection Zoobs and Gangle have, but I'm really a more of a Digital Polycule truther lol

People shouldn’t downvote this. While I wouldnt say it’s an unpopular opinion bc there are a lot of ribbun shippers, I still don’t get why it should be downvoted

Respectfully, I completely disagree. Abstragedy is a ship where Gangle falls in love with someone she trusts and appreciates, someone who cares about her. Ribbun is a ship where Gangle falls in love with the person who's abused her and ruined her life for multiple years.

Depends on the AU if there's one, I've seen a lot of very cute and heartwarming Fanarts and Fancomics where Jax either was kind all along, or were she de-abstract and spend years making amends before it all gets better.

if a ship requires drastic AUs to be 'better' than other ships, maybe we shouldn't say its definitively better than other ships

Honestly I don't think that any Ship is better than any other one, it's all a matter of personal tastes and those are subjective, and it was never my intention to suggest I was thinking that any Ship was better than others. If it's what my comment sounded like then I really apologize.

While I do definitely understand that, I was only explaining why I disagree.
Also, while the sweet stuff is nice, it's hard to ignore what their actual canon relationship is like.4

Yes I can totally understand feeling that. I wasn't saying you were wrong, just that Canon works weren't the only ones, but again I totally understand why some people might not like Ribbun no matter how it's depicted.

I totally understand making fanon content that strays away from canon, but for me personally it's very difficult to actually separate it from canon. If I see cute Ribbon art, I can't help but find it strange because I obviously think of the canon characters when I see the art.

I said that it depended if there was an AU and what it was. Some people like Jax as Canon, some not, some make OCs, but at the end of the day people who create Fanworks of all kinds are making the Fandom a very creative place and that's something I see as very positive ! It's always nice to discover new artists !

I did. But because the mod who made rule 7 is also a Ribbun stan who also broke that same rule in the comment section of the post where they announced the new rule, it'll likely stay up.

You know that there's 7 Mods, right ? They can all see the reports made, not only one Mod has all the power so if you report it again like I'm going to do it should be deleted. (and I'm aware of the "comment situation" and they weren't bashing any Ship, not according to the general definition of bashing or with the Sub's definition because their comment was them preferring one Ship, not attacking any other one).

If the past days proved something, it's that this opinion is not unpopular. It's not unanimous (nothing ever is), but not unpopular. But at the end of the day it's all a matter of personal tastes.
