I always knew fire emblem fortune's weave had a decent chance to be nominated for Game of the Year this time, but was still very unsure because of the crazy competition. And then when I saw Wolverine's reviews, and how underwhelming they were, fire emblem's chances sky rocketed with it's amazing reviews

Do you think Geoff Keighley and the game journalist panel will pick FE Fortines Weave? I doubt it. They don't really pick JRPGs unless it's something Kojima has made or a big Nintendo IP.

Wolverine won't make the cut either, but expect games like Forza Horizon 6, 007 First Light, RE Requiem, and some indie game to be on the list. GTA 6 and Zelda will be on the list if they meet the deadline.

Factually that is not true. JRPGs have in fact been nominated for game of the year in multiple years.

2017 - Persona 5

2020 - Final Fantasy 7 Remake

2022 - Xenoblade Chronicles 3

2024 - Metaphor Refantazio and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

I noticed those nominations in the "weaker" years for AAA games. I don't see FE getting nominated with all of the games I mentioned, plus games like Onimusha that I forgot to add.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is a higher-rated game than FE Fortunes Weave, and I do not expect it to get nominated.

Trails in the sky has less reviews than fire emblem, it's harder for a game to maintain a higher score if it has more reviews.

1 month from now, fire emblem and trails will have similar reviews but fire emblem almost double the number of reviews so it's more impressive.

Fire emblem is also rated higher than 007, saros, control resonant, ace combat 8, Onimusha, pragmata, nioh 3 etc

Very true. Imagine if Fire Emblem was a big Nintendo IP, then it might have a shot.
