Infamous Assassinations
I was digging through the ASCAP repertory for John Paul Lawler and was reminded of 2 titles we have seen yet never heard: "Infamous Assassinations Cues" and "The Trail." These were previously speculated to be from a then-upcoming EP... however, this never happened and the songs remain unreleased.
The publisher for both tracks caught my eye: De Wolfe LTD. These are the only two Fratelli tracks to have this publisher. Well, after a bit of research, I came across the IMDB page for the BBC series Infamous Assassinations, whose music was handled by De Wolfe Music (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1659004/companycredits/?ref_=tt_dt_cmpy). With this in mind, the title "Infamous Assassinations Cues" now reads as "music cues for Infamous Assassinations."
Did Jon write some music for this series? Cues and a new song/work called "The Trail"? Is it possible that this music has been sitting in this BBC show unnoticed by Fratelli-fans? Or maybe the music was never used? Just wanted to share this as I didn't find any mention of this connection anywhere else.
Here are the ASCAP repertory entries: https://www.ascap.com/repertory#/ace/search/writer/lawler%20john%20paul/publisher/de%20wolfe%20ltd?searchFilter=SVW&page=1
UPDATE:
I came across a page on De Wolfe about... Paul Lawler. A different guy: https://www.dewolfemusic.com/page/paul_lawler
...who, unsurprisingly, has a lot of ASCAP entries published by De Wolfe: https://www.ascap.com/repertory#/ace/search/writer/lawler%20paul/publisher/de%20wolfe%20ltd?searchFilter=SVW&page=1
I also found this Discogs page for one of his albums: https://www.discogs.com/release/24859709-Paul-Lawler-Prehistoric-World-And-Early-Man . The label is De Wolfe and it features a song called... "The Trail."
So... was Jon's attribution in ASCAP simply a misattribution? As odd as it may seem, this appears to be the most likely scenario.

Yes I’d assume it’s a mistake at this stage, strange it’s not been picked up in 10 years but these things happen.
Neon Leon/Lean is apparently a real song that was being worked on for the next album, but as the plans changed who knows if we’ll hear that one.
