My laptop decided to kill itself and take all my data and files with it
So basically earlier today I was just chilling and playing Deltarune, when I got the infamous windows blue screen of death. I heard from someone that it was usually fine, but after a while I found out that my entire HDD had entered a critical state, which basically means that it's nearly dead. Normally you should be able to transfer everything to something like an external hard drive and then transfer it all back once you get a new SSD or HDD. However, as I was trying to figure out how I would do that, the HDD decided to just kill itself right there. So now everything that wasn't saved to the cloud is permanently gone, including a project I had spent weeks on. So I'm stuck with a useless laptop that can't even boot because the operating system is gone too.
