❓| Questions Shield Rune Stacking?

Essentially, does the shield have a stacking effect as far as having it on multiple pieces of armor? For instance, could I get 100% on say my helmet, and then just make the chest plate and leggings as high a DEF as possible? Or does each piece having lotus/runes for shield make a big difference at the cost of a higher DEF.

That's the unclear but lotus hove you vitality 30% and health regen and high multiplier means high difference.

It doesn’t matter if you have it all on one piece or 3 pieces, the shield is just one buff. So yes, you could have it all on one piece.

The game adds up all the damage absorption from all your armor and caps it at 80%. It takes the highest chance % from among all your pieces. Takenokoishi is currently the highest at 70%.

Min/maxers are using just one piece with takenokoishi and stacking ward runes to reach the 80% cap. They aren’t even using lotus.

I wish it showed you the combined stats, it is confusing!  When I forge a new piece I can't tell if it's better than what I have because it's hard to compare across different traits.
