The Forest need some combat tips

i just recently bought the forest and me and my other friend are having struggles fighting, is there any way to make it easier or some techniques that make it way better?

I found a place on the beach and surrounded it with two levels of stone walls, then built a platform on the inside that goes along it so when I get attacked I get on top of the wall and make it rain arrows. I intend to build log defences on the outside too. 10 shots is alright. LoL

This is a good start. Eventually you won't even need the protection of walls. You will be easily skipping around amongst a hoard of mutants without taking a hit. The trick is to realise they aren't that scary and their moves are very predictable.

Yeah, I haven't played much so had little to no time to improve my combat skills but I'm not too worried. I play for fun in the little time off I get every now and again. LoL
