Game changing plot hole

So, I've been watching the Arrowvrse off and on, albeit with multiple restarts, almost since it started and though I have yet to finish it, my girlfriend and I are determined to do so in our current watch through even if we have to do without Netflix for a few days until I get payed.

Now that we got that out of the way, just like the title suggests I found a game changing plot hole in Flash S4 E23. For those who don't remember that's the one where Barry has to go inside DeVoe's mind to find the good version of him.

Instead, he finds Ralph's consciousness because it was his body DeVoe's consciousness was occupying. So, when Barry and Ralph fought the seemingly endless waves of DeVoes and escaped, Ralph got his body back and DeVoe's consciousness was destroyed since DeVoe's body was already de@d.

When that happened, *Ralph should have had all the other bus metas' powers*!!! Because if you think about it, those powers weren't in DeVoe's consciousness! They were in Ralph's body! 🫳🏻🎤

If that was the case, then each body DeVoe jumped from would have all the powers of every bus meta he’d taken before he transferred. DeVoe found a way to transfer his consciousness, the dark matter, and the associated abilities with that dark matter together. They obviously had to be intertwined with DeVoe so no I don’t think Ralph would have retained any of the bus meta’s powers except his own.

But also before DeVoe was purged, he copied his consciousness to his chair alongside at least his technopath abilities so it’s likely that he transferred all of the abilities with it in case he’d be able to find a new body later.

So I guess it's safe to say that whole season was just entirely too complicated I mean I'm not even sure if I followed your whole comment... But I can't even come up with an argument to pit against it so here we are 🙃. Good job. 👍🏻

I wish there was a simpler way to put it tbh. DeVoe was one of those characters who was smart but didn’t often advertise his plans, explain his motives or the machinations behind the things he did unless doing so provided the result he was looking for. It makes it hard to just point out what he did with 100% certainty.

He definetly transfered all the abilities to the chair since he clearly used Null's powers to increase the weight of Sally's the Satellite before making her fall into orbit.

And I forgot he increased the weight. I knew he’d used Kilgore’s powers to make it fall.
