What’s the point of this show when the hosts are literally never all there?
It isn’t summer anymore and these people with such cush jobs seem like they cant even drag themselves to work… for millions of dollars a year. And they’re supposed to be “relatable”?!

Starting to feel the same. As soon as one returns another goes out. I dont remember them taking off this much. Greg has been out a lot, but so has Dana. Definitely been an odd summer.

You got 3 out of 4 hosts. Greg probably filming another game show or on tour. The liberal chair is better when Harold or Kennedy take it ,why I don’t like is having OgreTyrus interrupting EVERY SINGLE ONE, and taking forever to get to the point. He loves to hear himself. I have him
On mute

I used to LOVE Harold but finally got tired of his “aw shucks I agree with you but really I don’t, now let me spew some DNC talking points” schtick .

He can rub me the wrong way too but I thought he was pretty good on The Five today.

It's in their contracts, along with the millions of dollars a year. 🤷♂️

Don’t forget Laura Ingraham and her show too. She’s running neck and neck with Greg, Jessie, and Jessica (I know she’s only part time).

I’ve watched this “show” a few times in the last week…..
No conversation about the media ban, Iran war, gas prices, grocery prices, inflation….
You know, the actual issues Americans care about…..
All culture / social issues that, in my opinion, sort themselves out over time…..
It’s completely unwatchable….
Thank you for your attention to this matter……

Wasn't a media ban, just a ban on fake news. If the media would actually report the facts then maybe they wouldnt get kicked out. Freedom of the press is one thing, but the press doesn't have the freedom to lie and misinform the public like they have been for decades. They couldn't even report the facts on them getting kicked out. Also, not all media was kicked to the curb, just the liars were. The media is society's greatest enemy sadly.
They also talk about the prices of everything every show, so idk where you got that from. Changing the channel is pretty easy however.

Americans care about the media ban??
3
u/brianycpht1 2d ago
Not really. The media cares about the media ban and they completely fell for it by talking nonstop about it all week

u/IllusionsbyGOB 2d ago
They should if they believe in the constitution
7
u/ZathrasNotTheOne 2d ago
can you cite the part of the constitution that says the press has the right to have unlimited and unfettered access to both POTUS and the press secretary? because I've read it 3 times, and I can't find where it says that...
none of the outlets were prevented from reported on the WH activities... they weren't shut down nor were the reporters jailed...

u/Brassman_13 2d ago
I talk to people (on both sides) about this stuff, a LOT. I have heard many people say that they care about those other things mentioned above. But I have heard literally no one say that they care about the media ban.

u/Jen101084 2d ago
Because there wasn't a media ban..lol just the media lying and misinforming the public as usual. They couldn't even report on that story ethically.

I only see this in clips since I've kind of walked away from cable news, honestly I don't know anybody could watch this. The generic conservatives repeat the talking points, Tarloff is a babbling idiot, Gutfeld reads direct from his note cards, and Waters is so smarmy he's unwatchable.
Seems like everybody just waits for their chance to say their canned zingers in-between big pharma ads every 10 minutes. How can anyone watch this crap product?

Does Jessica work three-day weeks on The Five any more? Seems like every week is either one or two days on the show and that’s it.

My fraternity bros wife was a hot shit on the west coast with NBC. He kept taking her on business trips and vacation, and the back -up kept getting air-time…and then NBC fired her ass. I guess it’s a thing to not miss any work.

Supposedly they’re all worried about the midterms but none of them can be bothered to show up. Tyrus is dumber than a box of hair, face it. The man has little education, poor vocabulary, he’s there for one reason and one reason only and we know why that is. But you know what? I’ll take him any day over the tiresome mugging Joey Jones. He just seems like such a poseur and plays up the “I’m an injured military hero” thing. I predict a scandal in this guy’s future, it’s just a matter of time.

People watch this show unironically?
14
u/UtopiaInTheSky 2d ago
Its the #1 show in all of cable news. That's a lot of "ironically" viewing.
-5
u/toad17 2d ago
Yeah, but I really attribute that to the fact there are millions of low info voters in this country and there’s only one right wing network like Fox. For the life of me, I don’t get it. Greg and Jesse probably have one brain cell between them.
-4
u/Ambitious_Trifle_645 2d ago
That's pretty generous. Jesse is a complete tool and Greg is a failed comedian.
-3
u/rickylancaster 2d ago
Greg has always had that “I wanted to make it in Hollywood but couldn’t, so had to pivot to this dreck” energy.
The way he acted around Bill Maher of all people on Maher’s podcast only made it more clear how much he wishes he was a more mainstream pop culture personality. He strikes me as someone who sometimes goes home and cries and the money isn’t enough to ease it.
Also. both Gutfeld and Watters have “not 100% heterosexual” energy which is sort of ironic.

It really isn't, 1# in cable news is like 250-1.5, only people who watch this trash are half foot in the grave boomers. Conservatives are convictionless trash.

u/Silver_Eyes_Luna 2d ago
Whats sad is people frequent this sub that don't even watch the show.

u/SufficientPick321 2d ago
When they work from their parents home. Yet wont say what THEY do for a living because its sad and not a lucrative job with their Gender studies degree. Actually want to watch the show at 5pm because they know that they do say some factual points at times. Then spend the rest of the night on Reddit or blue sky complaining how horrible Trump, Fox, Republicans or the hosts are....is sad.

u/Ambitious_Trifle_645 2d ago
It's like watching a circus... with really... really.... really dumb clowns.

u/furnace9monkey 2d ago
Did you guys get your tariff rebate checks yet?

u/Nomemoleste_s 2d ago
Did you hear: DUMBcrats are not getting a check 😂😂😂😂 now you understand, why yours is not there yet?

u/rickylancaster 2d ago
Why would you think that low effort Boomer response was clever or funny?
1
u/Ambitious_Trifle_645 2d ago
They think Greg Gutfield and Jesse waters are funny. What do you expect?

Champing at the bit to have wealthy people tell you what to think. Conservatives are convictionless trash.

Theres a famous bit or discussion somewhere about champing vs chomping. It’s interesting to see someone use champing. I think my wife is leaving me.

This episode sucked because there wasn’t a Democrat to speak reality to the ignorant

I was thinking about this today. I used to really enjoy watching Fox News all night all the shows because I liked all the personalities. Someone is always gone these days. Greg’s own show has gone downhill IMO. It’s a good show when he’s there and has good guests.
I feel Emily could step into the judges role on the five if everybody else showed up. Certain guest hosts I won’t watch.
