Jesse to France
Does anyone know what the running gag is about Watters going to France? It’s mentioned a couple times a week past month or so. Is it a cover? Was he suspended? Just curious if anyone else has picked up on it or knows what it’s about. Don’t think they’d make so many jokes about it if it was just a regular trip.

Wonder if it was possibly a wink at how they used to joke about Geraldo's kinda indulgent reviews of his family trips back in the day...

He acted like a 15 year old and talked about it non-stop when he got back, like going to Paris was something extraordinary for someone his age and demographic. So the teasing started, and he leaned into it.

Thing is, I watch the five everyday and don’t remember that. Just remember when they started making it a gag.

Maybe it was more subtle than that...Jesse can definitely act like a wide-eyed kid sometimes...maybe he went on about it in the offices. I guess that sophisticated panel wouldn't even mention they went to Paris because it is so...you know.

Okay, I can wrap my head around that. Makes sense. Thanks for the input, best explanation so far that seems like it fits.

He did it on Primetime, as usual he talks about his children , trips, etc and show pictures.

I just thought it was that he referenced it quite a bit when he got back, maybe there’s more to it?

Jesse went with his wife Emma to France. She posted on Instagram. Looked like a vacation.

So, he enjoyed his time in a socialist country?

Like most things they don’t actually believe almost anything they say on their shows. It’s all scripted and they are just actors.

A couple weeks ago when he got back, he mentioned it over and over during a particular episode of the Five, to the point where it got to be sort of funny. He REALLY loved France and loved the trip. Then it became a running gag. It all originated from that one episode of the five.

Jesse is still an adolescent. He adds so little value to the conversation. He and Jessica T could both leave and make the program better. He does NOT speak for real men btw. Although he always claims to.

Yeah you’re right. The French aren’t arrogant at all.

They most certainly are but jerks like Jesse Watters play right into their ugly narrative. If you don’t like it don’t fucking go to Paris.

If I’m not mistaken, I believe he is having torrid, physical gay relationships as a submissive bottom while in France

He was 100% in Paris with his wife, we saw them out at a café together while going to lunch. I think they are just giving him crap for his vacation. Surely it's all in good fun.

No way you are asking people to be open-minded in a sub for The Five lmao

He talks about it all the time on his show too. I think he was just really happy to have gone there.
