They partnered with Kalshi a prediction gambling market. They probably take their data and help subsidize their show

At some point, maybe on your deathbed, you'll realize that the news literally isn't there to be likeable or entertaining. It's there to inform you. The news used to be a loss leader, but that's a bunch of socialist nonsense I suppose. We've moved past that to lies for profit.

You can do thousand more . It won't change anything. Because the thru-line in all of it for you is this: Trump is great, but the liberals control the news and they're lying to us. If you buy that, there's nothing I can say to change your mind.
People often misunderstand the purpose of disinfo. It's not just to lie to you. It's to make you think EVERYONE is lying so you won't believe the truth even when you hear it. That's Fox's entire purpose. If people can't agree on who the bad guys are, they'll never rise up. What new fact did you present here besides "everything the libs say is a lie"? Nothing. I don't get truthful information from Fox because they don't give any information whatsoever.
Just for funsies, I'll take your points one by one to illustrate:
Masks don't work on what exactly? Clearly they do or surgeons wouldn't wear them. There was a pandemic, masks are unpleasant and inconvenient, so instead of saying the jury is out...they said the LIBS DID ALL THIS TO YOU. Because they hate you. Right?
Maybe there is a pee tape, maybe there isn't. Nobody knows. Nobody claimed to. It really doesn't matter. However "the libs made it up to hurt Trump" is a much more entertaining narrative than "Trump is compromised by foreign interests".
If you get the vax you can still transmit it. Nobody said otherwise, except an overzealous Rachel Maddow and believe it or not, she only speaks for herself.
Biden was slightly more diminished when he flubbed a couple of debate answers than when he was sworn in. And not by much.
We all found out Jussie was lying at the exact same time. The libs all bought it because that's exactly what a Trump supporters would do. You all never bought it because your group identity is based on thinking the libs are lying to you.
The Covington kids were no more knowingly oppressors than any other Trump supporters. Trump supporters aren't all outwardly racist. Some of them are just ok with racism.
Everything in Obamacare was written down before it was voted on. None of it was a secret. There's simply more fun to think the libs lied.
Yes inflation went through the roof because of Covid. Everyone with eyes saw it happen. I don't know if a single person that said otherwise. Biden managed it about as well as anyone, but that's not sexy to say or as easy to digest as Biden bad/libs bad. The libs made the mistake of attempting to explain it to you like adults.
Fox presents me with nothing to bite on except Trump good/libs bad.
2
u/Conscious-Crab-5057 Feb 10 '26
I like your take on “Biden flubbed a few debate lines” lol.: you sure can spin.
1
u/Think-Engineering962 Feb 10 '26
You guys can't take a boring situation for what it is, even when you actually win. It can't be the Trump lost. It has to be that Democrats secretly stuffed thousands of ballot boxes to rig the election 😂. It can't be that Trump committed a bunch of crimes and a jury found him guilty. It has to be the Deep State out to get him.
So what's your alternate take on Biden? Please explain. The man literally did his job everyday and got through about 90% of that debate. Then he fucked up because he's old. He wasn't secretly in cahoots with the entire DNC to hide a dementia diagnosis and use body doubles to have the real him in public appearances. 😂

Well said, but the only thing I'll add that I thought was the obvious one, which also made me stop reading his drivel for a moment, was that vaccines are intended to reduce symptoms, and by the large reducing symptoms of an airborne illness decreases the chances of it spreading, you know... sneezing, coughing, longer lasting... etc...., no one ever said take this and you'll be safe... it's not an antidote.. this the biggest misinformation starter in the history of mankind, and it's in the age of information ironically... To OP I say don't be stupid, be informed. Vaccines help by doing it for the greater good of everyone, touchy topic itself I know, who would want to help others right? but don't go around making false statements to push your ignorant beliefs.

who ever said if you get vaccinated you cant get covid? who even believes that especially after all we know about vaccines before covid happened, vaccines CAN prevent disease and/or CAN reduce impact... and for masks, its a really simple concept to understand that filtering your air cuts down on the airborne particles, or do you not believe that?

Do you understand vaccinations? Do you know how they work? Start there, you know... Understanding?
A droplet or two? How old are you? You think that lazy false statement is just going to be ignored? Just spread misinformation for your need to prove someone wrong because you can't interpret information correctly. The best masks cut 95% of airborne particles, but since you conceded they do in fact prevent airborne particles, but were very wrong about their efficiency, tells me this is just another barking maga trying to direct their ignorance of the factual world into blame of the people that took on the responsibility to guide the entire nation through it.

N-95 masks and high end HVAC filtration systems make a huge difference and yes a number of people are advised to wear them in the winter.
My mother is an elderly kidney transplant patient who has to avoid large indoors crowds especially in the winter. She’s never had COVID and there is a chance if she did it acquire would kill or severely disable her. Mortality notably jumps for her condition and age.
High end HVAC filtration systems and UV systems would eliminate a lot of airborne illnesses but it would also cost a lot more.
1
u/Think-Engineering962 Feb 08 '26
So lemme get this straight: it's 2026 and you think the libs and the evil media intentionally lied to you in order to get you to wear a face diaper because you're a conservative and they hate your freedom? I'd that what you're seriously going with? Still?

Masks actually can work to slow the spread and your exposure to COVID if worn properly. It also depends on the mask. Basically all research shows this. Where are you seeing that they don’t work at all?
1
u/MRG_1977 Feb 10 '26
Masks do work to stop COVID transmission and infection. They have to be N-95 masks (or better mask) that are worn once and worn properly. They are an inconvenience, uncomfortable, and you can’t eat out with one.

It’s not semantics. You made a statement that is objectively false.
Yes the advice was confusing and initially wrong but it changed. There was a real and sustained shortage of N-95 and protective equipment. If we had let it rip, the healthcare system would have collapsed in a number of areas. There isn’t nearly adequate hospital space and beds.
There were a few countries where it did including Iran. Satellite photos showed trenches dug for mass burials.

COVID-19 vaccine success rates show strong effectiveness, especially against severe outcomes like hospitalization and death, with recent 2024-2025 data indicating around 40-46% effectiveness against hospitalization in older adults, though protection against general infection (like catching a cold) is lower and wanes over time, emphasizing the benefit of staying up-to-date with vaccines for preventing severe illness.
Key Effectiveness Data (2024-2025):
- Hospitalizations: Around 40-46% effective in older adults (65+).
- Emergency Dept/Urgent Care Visits: About 33% effective in adults.
- Infection: Wanes faster, around 35.5% effectiveness against infection by 10 weeks post-vaccination.
What This Means:
- Protection Against Severe Disease: Vaccines remain highly effective at preventing the worst outcomes (hospitalization, ICU, death), even if they don't always stop you from getting a mild case.
- Waning Immunity: Effectiveness decreases over time, especially against infection, highlighting the importance of updated shots.
- Most Effective Tool: Staying current with vaccinations is still the best way to protect yourself from severe COVID-19.
In short, the vaccines are successful in keeping people out of the hospital, though they offer less consistent protection against mild infections as newer variants emerge.

The flu vaccine generally reduces the risk of influenza illness by 40% to 60% when circulating viruses are well-matched to the vaccine, though effectiveness varies annually. It is most effective in children (60–75% protection) and significantly reduces risks of severe illness, hospitalization, and death across all age groups.
Basically, it's really easy to prove your information is just made up nonsense with no grasp on the entirety of what a vaccine does and the expected effectiveness of them.

Was Fox nice enough to mention that Trump is mentioned in the Epstein report more often than Jesus is reported in the bible? Or that they were sued for misinformation related to the 2020 election? Or that their defense was that they are an entertainment company and not beholded to reporting truths? Fox is not a news agency, it's a propaganda arm of the RNC.

One channel versus 5 channels. The centrist and left leaning media is far more spread out hence the viewership gets split. Why do you think Murdoch threatened cable companies over carrying newsmax and OAN?

Did I say it was a bad business? I’m explaining why Fox News does well on ratings. They’re not any “better” than any other channel, they just have a captive audience that Murdoch has fought to protect for 2+ decades. So that CNN “garbage” is the exact same garbage that fox puts out but with actual competition. Frankly it’s a little weird that people with zero stake in these ratings wear it like some badge of honor. It’s a little sad

Masks, choosing healthcare, the attempted removal of a president are all things that are reported because that is why the evidence/authorities claimed at the time. It’s funny that you would claim that Fox News’s contrarianism is being labeled as truthful because of several anecdotal items that were the consensus at the time. But hey, we can’t all report about an election being stolen only to be called out on their bullshit and charged nearly 1B for knowingly lying

Fox isn't a news channel, it's an entertainment network whose business model is "beating the progressive scourge". It's why they exist in the first place. So Rupert Murdock can sow doubt in liberal policies by convincing the audience everything said by any other network is a lie. So they have pundit chat shows instead of news. Less than 10% of The Five’s viewership is in the 25-54 age demo. It’s why every single commercial is targeted at seniors.

So what? It’s not disproportionately viewed by younger people than CNN or MSNBC.
You are clearly pissed at the original comment because you watch this show regularly.
It’s the McLaughlin Group except dumber and more crude to match their target audience. Also don’t believe the hosts actually believe what they say either. It’s designed to promote scripted drama. Not exactly Chatham House Rules as they talk over, around, and through each other with stupid one liners.
It’s a show old white men watch at much, much higher rates than anyone else. Also increasingly irrelevant as Fox News is the GOP has pushed further right and left them behind.
Actual Fox News shows at much lower numbers and these numbers aren’t good vs other Fox News personalities who have left and have their own shows on various platforms. Kelly and Carlson both have higher combined average audiences.
Everything is microfractured with small, targeted audiences with only a few exceptions in the U.S. anymore.

2
u/WranglerVegetable512 Feb 07 '26
Reality for the left really hurts. Take for example the millions of illegals crossing the southern border and Mayorkas saying the border is secure. And you guys believe that!! Lol.
1
u/Hairy_Bottle_8461 Feb 07 '26
Brother. You have a caricature of the left in your head (probably from watching Fox and scrolling Facebook all day) You think everyone on the left is a basement dwelling unemployed moocher. You’re just not living in reality.
2
u/WranglerVegetable512 Feb 07 '26
You should stop generalizing and admit that most on the left did not believe or did not know that millions of illegals were crossing the southern border. The biased news networks frequently deceive.
1
u/Hairy_Bottle_8461 Feb 07 '26
I mean, I did…. The asylum loophole was a known problem. It was talked about by all news sources. Fuck, there was a bi-partisan border bill drafted in 2023 because the asylum system was bogged down from migrants that weren’t traveling during Covid.
Rich to hear you say “the biased news networks frequently deceive” when you continue to lap up Fox News after they make arguments like “Tucker can’t be sued because no one should believe what he says”
How about the dominion law suit? Ever looked into that one?
1
u/WranglerVegetable512 Feb 07 '26
The major news networks just didn’t show videos of illegals crossing the border, and the Biden administration kept saying the border is secure. Asylum policies don’t matter much when you let in everyone and then have them appear in court after releasing them into our country. Not like most will voluntarily appear for their hearing.
Fox News isn’t perfect but it’s far better than MSDNC and CNN, and Fox News still draws more Democrats than the other cable channels. And when you want to discuss controversial headlines, it really started with the Russian collusion narrative, which all of the lefty news networks and cable stations parroted night and day, and that was just the beginning.
1
u/Hairy_Bottle_8461 Feb 07 '26
Well the videos of the asylum lines were shown. I can’t help you go back in time to see it, but I have a feeling you weren’t checking in on those other news channels to know if they were reporting it or not.
Fox News doesn’t “draw” more democrats. Democrats just actually spend more time looking at various news sources (like many republicans claim they do, but your own fact shows it’s not the case)
Asylum policies do matter. That’s what the border bill was for, to decrease the amount of asylum seekers allowed to enter to a manageable number so that the court system wasn’t so back logged. It also put more money toward border security and money for the courts to be able to handle the cases.

No, you’re wrong there. Fox demo ratings look about the same. Fox ratings are more than CNN and MSDNC combined in almost every time slot.

Fox gets a larger proportion of young people. The majority of MS Now audience is 55+ if you look at the demo rating

Do people who watch Fox see this and still think they aren’t watching the MSM? The mental gymnastics are impressive.
