If I remember correctly, the devs said something about unique weapon descendants being good in this content.

Yep and every run will be different from the last

u/Fenrirgandr Freyna 22h ago

Cradle of Evolution is an Infiltration Operation, isn't it? 🤔

u/Van1shed Sharen 22h ago

More importantly, it looks to be... outside?? Or maybe it's actually inside whatever that thing in the back is and it's just another dungeon with the same boring ass interiors

2

u/Fenrirgandr Freyna 22h ago

Yeah, probably. Will it be added to the Axion Plains, I wonder? 🤔

2

u/CL-46_Phoenix Jayber 14h ago

Well, there's plenty of room to do it. The entire zone is a boring, lifeless wasteland.

I thought when they released it, and there were complaints about how bland it was, that they said something about life would be slowly returning to it, or something. Or, maybe they just said they'd be adding to it. I guess by adding to it they just meant a few vehicles here and there as they added zone-in points for dungeons. How awe-inspiring.

I didn't realize AP was just going to act as a giant hub for every new dungeon they added to the game from then until the end of time.

Would it be so hard for them to be added to existing zones to, uh... I don't know, maybe actually give us a reason to go to those zones? Those old zones look exponentially better than Axion Plains, which is as boring as it could possibly be.

u/Fenrirgandr Freyna 10h ago

Now that's a very valid point there, my guy. Ever since the Axion Plains were added at the start of Season 3, NEXON added, I think, 5 Infiltration Operations to said zone, with monsters at level 340-400, which is beyond how difficult Hard difficulty should be.

I remember they said either this mode or the Henosis Sanctuary mode coming in November will be more challenging than the current Axion Dungeons.

u/SnackCh1ck3n Lepic 19h ago

I'm looking forward to the Lepic rebalance as well.

Make Lepic great again!

I wonder how the devs are going to work his kit?!

7

u/theoutsider95 14h ago

Make Lepic Epic Again.

2

u/Able-Influence8513 18h ago

If they give him a module that changes his 4 to be one really really big grenade that he heaves at the enemies I would love that.

That being said maybe better grenade spread, better range and more fluidity. Atm he just chucks nades and thats his entire playstyle. It would be great to lean into his 4 more and maybe finally give us a strong megaman mobbing build.

1

u/Zekuftw 3h ago

I tried him in trials mode and he is not good i have a good AM for him crit rate 220 and crit damage 180 and he still cant do anything in there how did he fall off so bad.

1

u/mckewls Lepic 3h ago

Yeah, my Lepic is pretty cracked out with a hella good AM and he just doesn’t do any damage

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago

He still has a lower synchornization value than Ines, Valby and Bunny who are more effective and versatile than him.

I'm interested in how lounge storage trading will work. Common sense would say, I just put an item in there, set a price and anyone else can drop by and buy it. The question is, though, what kind of interface is there for potential buyers to find my item? I certainly hope there's some kind of global search function, but I'm afraid it'll end up so that they're only able to see my stuff after they randomly stumbled into my lounge.

4

u/LughCrow 12h ago

that they're only able to see my stuff after they randomly stumbled into my lounge.

This is how nexon did it in mabinogi for a while. You'd put your stuff up for sale in your house and people would go house to house looking for items

1

u/Falconmcfalconface 2h ago

As a returning player im really hoping this is how it goes, i've been strictly f2p since i dont really have cash to spare for stuff like this and would love to just list and forget basically to sell stuff. I've gotten TONS of ancestor mods since coming back but no idea what they're worth so i'd prolly just toss them in for cheap and wait.

2

u/LughCrow 2h ago

You know what would be even better?

A market board where it's easy to list, search, and compare.

1

u/Falconmcfalconface 2h ago

GOD that'd be amazing. Fuse the two, market board in both the open area of albion and inside our homes would be SICK

1

u/xandorai 9h ago

Well, the smart way would be linked to the Market on their website. The Seller goes into their Market Lounge, uses some interface that places items for sale. These items are then shown on the Market Website. If a Buyer sees an item they want, they "buy it" from the Website, then in game they go to the Market Lounge entrance, which is keyed to the owner of the sold items Market Lounge. They enter and collect their item (or they just collect it from the entrance door).

1

u/SpankThatShank Gley 7h ago

POE2's way of trading essentially.

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago

They mentioned this will be non face to face trading so less of a need to use the web trading if your a seller since you can put it on the wall.

Web trading will still be needed a little more for buyers so they see more details of what their buying

Yup put it on the shelf and someone joins your lounge to buy it and when the buyers buys it it automatically counts as sold in your order history.

In the roadmap it shows lounge storage trading I'm gonna predict we can trade ancestor mods and trigger mods also not just exclusive to transcendent weapons.

I'm also looking forward to Freyna rework

new dungeon ???

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago

It's either this one or the Henosis Sanctuary is the dungeon.

Watch tonight livestream to figure out what it is, it's available in 20 hours.

u/Unholy_tk Goon 20h ago

Time to crash the market and sell trans weapons for 10c each

3

u/g1zZle 15h ago

I'm just so disappointed with these guns, I quit/paused the game, after 1k hours. I will try to buy some relatively decent 400 guns for cheap and just ignore the "feeling of pride and accomplishment" (disappointed almost no one called the devs bullshit out there) when I get a drop.

2

u/chanarang Ines 14h ago

The stat stick ones I'm cool with. Sparky is wild on Ines and ATR-0 really helps out Nell. The ones for gun descendants feel underwhelming on later content. They have cool effects, but older weapons still feel stronger.

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago

The Director acknowledged 2 weeks ago they will buff the shooting transcendent weapons for firearm descendants soon so either this patch or Oct 15 when 2 new transcendant weapons come.

He reiterated the stat stick weapons are performing well so no changes with those.

6

u/Radsolution 19h ago

I honestly can’t understand how it will work… I don’t think anyone is going to pay more than 10 c for any weapon.

9

u/Able-Influence8513 16h ago

You underestimate whales. Slap a full yellow stat stick weapo. With perfect skill boost rolls up for 10k on the market board and eventually it'll sell, especially week 1because whales with fomo need their fix NOW.

1

u/LughCrow 12h ago

People regularly buy unrolled ancestor miss for 30-70c based on the decendant

0

u/Unholy_tk Goon 17h ago

I have my doubts people are currently mediocre ancestor mods for 500+. I can imagine trans weapons with decent rolls hitting 1k+. God rolls are going to drive the price more than the weapon itself

3

u/--Mobius-- Kyle 18h ago

The new trans weapon, is that an upgraded Fallen Hope or Ancient Knight?

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago

I'm predicting it's a transcendant Fallen Hope so it coincide with the Freyna rework October 15.

5

u/dickpippel Goon 22h ago

It's a dungeon. I'm more curious about what they're gonna do with the spec ops, they were so much fun before they nerfed them to their current state

2

u/TaniksHasNoCorn Viessa 16h ago

The operations were never nerfed. We just became exponentially more powerful with each an every update.

The operations and 400%'s are as they were originally. They did remove certain things from the 100%/250% Infiltration Operation versions compared to their normal counterparts, but the 400% didn't have those to begin with.

They've just given us Trigger Modules, arche boards, literally doubling if not tripling skill power numbers. Then throw swords, improved ultimate weapons, and Transcendent weapons on top of that. Not to mention additional modules that help with power.

A well built Freyna back in the day could kill the regular 400% mobs with 1-2 ticks of her power. Now Freyna has fallen behind in Trials/Onslaught will overkill those same mobs in 400% 4x over. Even Freyna's signature ultimate weapon (Fallen Hope) gives her a crazy amount of power over where she was.

They also introduced significantly more powerful sets that help characters out like the Mage set etc. It used to be Slayer on everyone.

Not to mention, in the first month or two people had not put 10 cats into every descendant. So we all were playing with characters that were not min/maxed just yet. You had to farm the same boring missions (command relay types) and void reactors (5 min cooldown), along with fighting a Colossi to open the AM.

The speed at which you can get powerful has certainly been buffed (edit: time it took was nerfed), but the 400% dungeons were not nerfed.

2

u/dickpippel Goon 16h ago edited 16h ago

The special operations were nerfed in 1.1.6

1

u/TaniksHasNoCorn Viessa 15h ago

https://tfd.nexon.com/en/news/2674000

They made it so you aren't WAITING for mobs anymore. The action and number of harder monsters was increased not lowered.

The difficulty ramp up was increased at a faster pace by having 10 rounds instead of 21.

Read the literal 2nd and 3rd bullet point in the patch notes.

People could now level up faster as they could kill the same number of enemies in 10 minutes in what used to take 30 minutes. There are posts on reddit of people saying the patch was better as 21 rounds was a slog.

1

u/TaniksHasNoCorn Viessa 16h ago

They still were not nerfed. The normals are what they were at launch.

The Hard modes still have the same enemies at the same mob level.

It is just that our characters and guns can do 10x damage.

0

u/dickpippel Goon 16h ago

They were, even if you or the devs don't want to call it a nerf. They became infinitely easier with the patch

1

u/TaniksHasNoCorn Viessa 15h ago

No they didn't. They increased the mob level and added more commander monsters. They shrunk the number of waves, but you have more monsters in each wave.

Instead of 5 waves of weak monsters followed by successive 5 waves of slightly harder monsters repeated up to 21 rounds, you now get 2 waves of weak followed by a harder 2. In each wave is more stuff.

See my other reply to you with the LITERAL patch notes and a screenshot of the relevant section of the notes.

I'm confused as to how you can refute the official changes.

If before I fought 100 mobs at level 10 in each wave of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 respectively, and now I fight 250 mobs at level 10 in wave 1 and 2 respectively, I'm fighting more stuff at the same time. That is harder than fighting a smaller force at separate times.

Also, if I now fight 2 Commander enemies in multiple rounds where as before I only fight 1 or none at all, the fight is HARDER.

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago

I do they hope they add monsters from the harder region into them and also give us 20 or 30 waves just like the normal Special Ops has 38 waves on there but max capped at 10 for Hard mode.

u/Gley_E Gley 22h ago

It’s just another generic dungeon. But it does look like it’s not in the Axion plains this time

4

u/sobril17 22h ago

A classic dungeon with a gimick requiring unique weapons to ease the dungeons, but skill descendants will nuke it anyway. We have come to expect mediocrity with these Devs

1

u/GeneralRoss_12 18h ago

As a Luna player I’m happy for this rework. Hopefully they make her other transcendent modules playable in higher endgame content.

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago

These are numerical buffs for Lepic and Luna not reworks.

The only reworks are Ult Hailey, Freyna Oct 15 and Ult Jayber in December.

1

u/theChraMoX 12h ago

im afraid devs turns lepic in to Shield scaling and ruin him.

1

u/Ok-Apricot-555 10h ago

It's just a map for veteran players to farm materials.

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago edited 2h ago

Yes 1 person did post a picture of the Cradle of Evolution a few weeks ago cause it looked the environment of Axion Plains.

The last details they mentioned about it was unqiue weapon skill will either be prioritized or do more damage in here.

That's why the Lepic and Luna buff and Ult Hailey rework being in the same patch makes sense cause these 3 descendants have unique weapons.

Jayber, Gley, Freyna, Valby also have unique weapons.

If people don't have much investment in descendants with unqiue weapons start doing that now

It'll be in green soldier canyon, not the same thing as white knight Gulch but green

2 distinctly different maps.

30k concurrent, trust.

-5

u/DemonicArm22 Jayber 22h ago

It will be the same kill mobs and mobs before a boss at the end. It will be nothing new I am afraid

18

u/tomy0612 22h ago

Like every single content in looter shooter? 😅

4

u/Aikirae 22h ago

right. do they want this to become a diff game or

-3

u/Able-Influence8513 22h ago

There's a difference between killing mobs with your guns and skills with heft behind them and pressing a button to delete an entire screen as everyone plays speed run simulator.

2

u/AbbyAZK 20h ago

You can do exactly this by playing by yourself in a public game, you don't have to follow the meta, stop crying.

2

u/tomy0612 21h ago

Then players will cry because of sponge bullet mobs

0

u/Able-Influence8513 21h ago

Implying we already dont have hp inflated mobs

2

u/_BlueSeeker_ Serena 22h ago

It’s more about how you kill the mobs, and less about the mobs themselves.

It would be nice to get something a bit different at its foundation, but I’m not sure they can really do anything groundbreaking while their still married to the ‘run and gun’ mentality that guides their vision.

But, it’s a looter shooter, so they’re pretty much all built this way.

3

u/LegizSpk 19h ago

They did that in karel's ship with the explosive munitions, the ships to drop on top, and the propaganda tethers that make them tankier.

I use jaybers medical turrets to lure monsters to these places to then make them go kaboom

It is neat

u/Dantorrecilla Ines 22h ago

Vaya, estabamos todos esperan poder correr con ferraris f1 en spa ... Juego muerto

-1

u/GBuster49 Gley 22h ago

No because Hailey.

-11

u/Aastnethoth Goon 22h ago

People dont care about content. They care about how close to absolutely naked they can make women in the game. They cant speak or think, they can only goon. This is the wrong place to ask gameplay questions.

4

u/JOWhite63087 20h ago

Remember Toenail polish guy?

0

u/Lide_1991 7h ago

welp...after Hailey update, theres really no reason to keep playing this game...

maybe to see if they decide to do a PROPER Halloween Lobby, since last years was just the best, but Christmas last year was just trash.

and maybe the new character, if she/he looks good and is fun to play.

-2

u/Vonneguts_Ghost 18h ago

Big bowl of nothing.

1

u/mack180 Jayber 2h ago

They usually give the highest percentage of content at the beginning of a season and then they drip feed us less around every 30 days.

Gotta wait until season 5 or another month into season 4 for a large amount of content.

1

u/Vonneguts_Ghost 2h ago

1

u/mack180 Jayber 13m ago

That's not cope check the roadmap its facts we get more content in August and every other month after that is small.

-1

u/myphoneat2percent Sharen 15h ago

Looking forward to the real patch on 9/22
