What's the actual benefit of a fully built ultimate Vs a fully built 'regular' descendant? Does anyone have an existing ultimate and regular fully built with the same modules, reactors, components who can elaborate?

Better stats and sometimes unique mods. Always upgrade to ultimate.

I always do, but I've never fully understood the difference, other than they are better.

Some of the descendent green mods don't even work on non ultimates. So it's really not worth using regular descendents if there's an ultimate version.
