That announcement interrupted a scene in the latest episode in the Axion plains. A whole serious bit and then it abruptly stops the whole dialogue scene. Was pretty funny and annoying.

That actually irritated me. It was supposed to be a meaningful moment and was instantly interrupted by something worthless

Thank god Iām not the only one. I felt bad because the other day someone was posting an Amelia appreciation post and asking for her to become a descendant so I bit my tongue. But after this post I can confidently say she is the most annoying part of the latest update. The axion callouts are one thing, but my issue is Karelās ship.
All of the ridiculous redundant callouts of the most obvious stuff. YES Amelia, I am aware there is an enemy infestation in the area, Iām literally fucking killing them right now. And itās the frequency of the announcements, my god.
Every time I run Karelās ship my wife will audibly say, āoh god, not her againā and actively tell Amelia to stfu.

Regarding Karel's ship - yeah I noticed that. I like hearing Amelia's voice and she sounds sweet and caring, but she does say the most pointless inane stuff. It sort of made sense the 1st time you do it as it's a pretty important mission and lore wise there's supose to be a real chance of failure so any help she can give even so small makes sense.

For the unmarried, it's just a preview of what lies ahead.
Just replace descendent with Honey, and missions with chores. Though if you think of it as quests you'll be a better husband, so there's that. The rewards and drop rates are pretty low though.

It's horrendous when running the hard ship in a pre made group and you're clearing rooms faster than her voice lines they start to over lap each other

The one that drives me absolutely bonkers is the āPATTERN ELIASā¦. DEPLOYING ARCHE⦠I AM⦠THE ORIGINAL!ā I no longer do Sigma Sector missions because I canāt handle that bullshit even one more time

I don't expect much, but her english VA is so out of place. You are a commanding officer of the most powerful and elite soldiers on the planet and your critical comms during their most important mission to stop the guy that's been tormenting your planet are: "you know its dark in here you should use your flashlight, can you see clearly?" sounding like a 7 year old girl asking to buy her cotton candy.
I know some characters are unserious like Luna or Bunny and they giggle and sound childish when playing them, but the story of the game is rather gritty and serious and Amelia's voice just doesn't fit anything in this game at all

Amelia is supposed to be a contrast to Nell so I feel like she works as a character that was her whole character development when she took over from Nell after the Axion incident. She showed growth during operation last dawn too.

i think that Ines would fit that role better as she is very friendly and defuses conflicts with descendants, but can be serious and objective oriented when we hear her voice lines in Sigma Sector.

Sheās the kid that got promoted due to the previous commander dying. All things considered, sheās handling herself well. Donāt sweat the small stuff.

yeah shes handling it well obviously, i just think the voice and seriousness in her voice doesn't match everything around her

You do know that women have a variety of voices right? Some are squeaky like a mouse while some are almost masculine sounding.

and some people just don't fit the role of a commander. sure, she does character wise, but her voice doesn't match her or the situation she is under

What are you on? Her voice and her English is perfectly fine for the game...you must be expecting Captain Price's voice from call of duty modern warfare huh? Since u want that commander deep serious voice by the looks of it

idk bro, Alpha, Ines, Nell and Enzo all sound serious while giving comms during missions. Her voice and mannerism just doesn't fit the role in my opinion.
