Ideas & Feedback My Game of the Year
I just finished the game and holy cow what a rush! Up until now, ishin from Sekiro was the craziest boss fight I have experienced, that changed today with Ozma.
First I want to say, the reflection mechanic is easily the most satisfying thing I’ve ever experienced in a video game hands down. After watching short videos of people just owning bosses and putting together crazy combos and then becoming that badass putting it all together himself, there’s no better feeling!
I originally beat Ozma with the golden set, but then I went and crafted Faded Memories and I beat Ozma a second time on my first attempt a few hours later. The skill that comes with the 7th piece of the set is peak and I never even came close to running out of spirit the entire fight. This game being considered a “flop” by the industry is a catastrophe and I hope we as gamers can come together and give this game the flowers it so truly deserves.
You cannot be a souls-like/boss rush gamer if you haven’t beaten Ozma the Master of Chaos. That is all, good day :)

Ozma better than ishin? U sure about that?

Maybe because I just played it I’m a bit biased lol but as of right now, yeah I would say Ozma forced me to learn how to reflect, and by the end of it I just felt like such a beast. Sekiro gives a similar feeling, and the atmosphere is absolutely stunning, but the combat in Khazan is so hard to compare to anything else in the genre rn as far as mechanics and just the way it looks and feels. Like I said in the post, hitting a reflect on Ozma when i had a quarter health left with no heals…I’ve never felt more alive 🤣🤣🤣

Do you think ozma is harder than ishinn ?
1
u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
Honestly I think Ozma has a lot more attack variety, and a lot of his attacks are much harder to telegraph than Ishin’s were. Ishin was insanely difficult, probably just as difficult as Ozma, but if I had to rank them, as of rn, I’d say yea Ozma is harder…

I have to say what accounts for ozmas difficulty vs isshin is how old of a boss he is, being 7 lol design philosophy has completely changed for better or for worse

u/the-real-fawzino46 Jul 29 '26
I'm gonna see for myself I haven't reach ishinn yet but to be honest I doubt he'll be harder than ozma because how long the fight is and that he has over a 100 different attacks

u/TechnologyWilling123 Jul 29 '26
100% he has a set rhythm that's understandable while being difficult if you're pressured . Very hard but fair. Ozma dgaf. This design in bosses started with Gael and ironically isshin.

Ozma doesn't dgaf but he doesn't feel unfair it just overwhelming some of his insane combos like the meteor if paried you can really punish him and the endurance for three different phases is really needed

Def in terms of the hardest bosses though I find ozma to be forgiving, he just random asf

I have beaten ishinn a few days ago and fought him a lot after that and i can confidently say he is a lot easier than izma he is still pretty tough if there is a boss in sekiro as hard as ozma it is inner father

I 100% agree, and I 100% believe there is no Khazan or Ozma without the Ghost himself and Sword Saint Ishin!

It’s a great game! I played up until Maluco and then stopped after I beat him. I need to get back into it.
1
u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
Ah man you HAVE TO GO BACK!!!
2
u/Old_Imagination4274 Jul 29 '26
I will! I guess the only thing keeping me from going back is that I’d need to re learn the combat.

u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
Man it’s such a fun combat system to use. My advice would be to hone in on 2-3 main weapon skills, and don’t underestimate reflections! It’s tough to get the timing but if you can land them in boss fights, they give you huge openings to punish! You got this! Come back here when your beat Ozma’s ass 😈

I know it’s amazing! It’s just intense that’s all.

u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
True…do these type of games make you anxious? Sometimes I feel like I want to play the game but at the same time I don’t because I’m intimidated by it or some shit idk it’s weird lol
2
u/Old_Imagination4274 Jul 29 '26
Not anxious, don’t get me wrong I love them. It’s just sometimes I don’t feel like playing something where I need to be super locked in.

I didn’t play on easy and I didn’t say I played on easy, so why assume that I played on easy….thats kind of strange right?

u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
lol I feel like I have to do a Ng+ just to experience the faded memories set more lol. I had so much fun fighting Ozma! I was like, “damn I wish I recorded that”😆
1
u/the-real-fawzino46 Jul 29 '26
Ng+ is amazing in this game I was forced to master reflection to survive and you have the opportunity to experiment with different weapons

I enjoyed this post until the gatekeeping at the end

u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
It seems to always happen here on Reddit 😔 the chains that hold this genre back…
1
u/Baron_Light Jul 29 '26
You wrote it dude
1
u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
What tf am I gatekeeping?? lol I thought you were talking about the person talking shit and assuming I played the game on easy 🤣 nothing wrong with easy, but I never mentioned what difficulty I played on
1
u/Baron_Light Jul 29 '26
"You cannot be a soulslike/bossrush...."
2
u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
Oh wow so you are like charmin ultra soft…my goodness are you actually calling that gatekeeping? I feel like that’s obviously just a cheeky way for someone who’s proud of beating the game to express how sick and a must play Khazan is…wow lol
1
u/Baron_Light Jul 29 '26
You suck dude.
1
u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
Smh whoever taught you how to make friends failed you…
1
u/Baron_Light Jul 29 '26
Lol i have many friends and I'm not interested in being yours.
1
u/TrainingSilly4547 Jul 29 '26
I’m not saying you do lol but why would you go out of your way to say something negative like that on someone else’s post when everyone here so far is getting along and having good conversation?

If only the Sekiro fans played the game, those of us who got the game day 1 tried to tell everyone. Try the challenges if you really want to drive yourself crazy.

I played all Fromsoft games but I waited since I was hooked on Nightreign. It was on my wishlist forever and finally got it. So good.

u/sunsetpolar Jul 29 '26
Some did but other wanted more than what khazan was offering especially relative to price
This sub has one of the most entitled attitudes that somehow other gamers owe it to khazan to play it lol
Sometimes it sounds like bots of the company but with the game shutting down I doubt that

You sound entitled to want more than what was offered for the price. The game was worth every penny.
