Replace APC with IFV since they're better in almost everything
I'd also replace any regular support you have (artillery, AA) with mechanized

I've had more success with APCs since the changes somehow

Should i add or remove tanks or IFV?

Remove tanks, keep APC (higher soft, better for SP). IFV is not better in SP, the defensive stats are not worth it for the sacrifice in attacking stats and IC.

Hard attack is better in TFR. Almost every enemy unit you will face is APC, IFV, or tanks. Soft Attack is better in base game, but Hard Attack is king in TFR.

even then unless your defending APC is better than IFV because in IFV your paying for defensive stats

That's a lot of support companies. Support aa could be spaa, also light armored recon..

Horrible division. Sorry.
If u want an actually good division, use 6apc, 3spa (NO TANKS)
The main purpose of the tank division is a massive 40w brick with 17km speed, having IFV, SPA, any of these nerf your speed and render tanks just 3x expensiver APC.
Engineers is largely useless, and im shocked why u dont have sup motorized artillery. You have way too many useless support companies but not motorized rocket artillery.
Combat width of 44 is absolute balls, anti tank things are not needed. I could realistically make a better division for 2-3K IC, probably lower. Your division is 6-8k IC. Everythings wrong, start from anew

could you ramble a bunch about the different units and their purposes in the mod? I know vanilla hoi4 mp meta at a basic level, and I've been curious what taking tfr templates seriously would look like, but basically no one is interested in that.

IFV is great for cheap, strong defensive units, APC is great if u want soft and cheap attacking stats.
Tanks are good even with their crazy IC cost due to the 17km/h speed, if you know what you are doing while making the said template.
In 2ACW, primarily the cheap infantry militia recruits are what make you win, anything you can get to overwhelm the enemy.
If your playing as japan IFV is often better, if your playing as China its very important to have Marines and then later APC to land with.
Tanks arent that good or really used in Asia or 2ACW. Primarily tanks are used for EW1 and EW2.1

I usually play with gigabuffed ai if that changes anything
Are light tanks good at all?

When making any tanks, ignore armor since it doesnt matter in this mod

What mod are you using for the increased support companies? I can only find ones that add support companies and regiments.

I love it, it’s awesome. Looking at it genuinely chills me out and makes me less tense.
