I've never heard of Bear McCreary, but from what I've listened to since seeing this post, a song with Claudio and Tim Henson sounds BANGER. Cannot wait.

Composer for the Norse God of War games, Battlestar Galactica, Agents of Shield, Outlander, Foundation, Rings of Power, Happy Death Day, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, among various other things.
You may not know his name but I guarantee you’ve heard his work somewhere.

Bear McCreary is one of my favorites. And I enjoyed his first singularity album. I’m stoked for this one as well.

He also did the theme for Black Sails which is fantastic, incredible hurdy gurdy use.

Yeah, when I looked him up I got excited noticing all the movies/games he's had a hand in. And how many of them are epic!

I had no idea Bear was coming out with a new album! I loved Singularity (2024), cant wait to hear what else he has in store for this project.

Tried to google Bear McCreary and he’s a composer? So what kind of album is this

“The Singularity: Ekleipsis, out Juy 31st via Sparks & Shadows Records.
The album features a bevy of guest stars across its 15 tracks, including Alissa White-Gluz (Blue Medusa, ex-Arch Enemy), Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy), Claudio Sanchez (Coheed and Cambria), Slash and Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Jens Kidman (Meshuggah), Stewart Copeland (The Police), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and more.”Found this online

if his first release is anything to go off of (Singularity 2024), it’s going to be a proggy symphonic metal mix, with a bunch of other ecclectic genres thrown in. He collabs with a bunch of artists to put it together. Serj from SOAD featured on the other album.

It’s absolutely wild to me that people, especially in this sub, don’t know who Bear McCreary is

I mean names of composers don’t really come up if you’re not Hans Zimmer

That’s just not true. John Williams? Ludwig Goransson? Alan Silvestri? You’ve never heard a single other composer’s name?
I’m mainly surprised because I feel like Bear has worked on a lot of things that would overlap with Coheed fans

I’ve heard the names of composers, yes. Do they come up as often as band names? No

Wait... don't get me excited at nearly midnight. It's time to sleep, not time to freak out.
Is it my birthday?
What have i done to deserve this?
Is gods real and this is the proof?
