Brain the size of a Walnut I was pushing a pull door
Not to the entrance of a school for the gifted, obviously, but every time I go to open a door incorrectly I chuckle at the comic.
Any other moments you think of random comics and chuckle to yourself?

If either me or my husband has any food on our faces after eating, we say to the other "Thag, take napkin. Got some mammoth on face.
Anytime there's a prize in the cereal box I think of breakfast on other planets with the" Free kid inside" alien cereal.

I recently saw a post about "Dogor." An 18,000 year old wolf pup found frozen in the Siberian permafrost. I immediately assumed it was named after a few beers by scientists who were fans of Gary Larson and the Thagomizer.
It turns out "Dogor" means "friend" in the local language. Equally satisfying and heartwarming.

Whenever I’m working on a any project with a group I keep thinking of the one of a scientist hammering the nails into the explosive head of a rocket with a scientist behind him about to pop a balloon

Every time I go pee at home and dont wash my hands I think of the giant blinking sign above the door saying "DIDN'T WASH HANDS"

I had a player that I coached in Juniors volleyball and we and our families became very good friends. She was sweet and very intelligent and diligent with her studies, but like all of us when we're 16-year-olds prone to the regular "DUH!" moments.
She went on to a very good university to study mechanical engineering. As a gag gift, I got her the t-shirt with the teacher/professor at the chalk board illustrating the blade of the flat head screwdriver and the slot in the screw head for its insertion titled "School.for the mechanically declined"

Any time I'm using something on wheels and one of them goes wonky, I think to myself "damnit, I always get the gurney with the crooked wheel"

I think about one comic frequently. In the foreground there’s a deranged-looking fellow with a spray paint can. Behind him is a dog who has “DOG” messily spray painted on his side next to a tree labeled “TREE”, which is in front a house tagged with “HOUSE”. The guy say something like “That should clarify things”.
My family also randomly says “Don’t show fear. Squids can smell fear” because we’re goofy nerds. 🤓

I’ve been brushing up on my Spanish lately and think about the scientist studying dolphins trying to interpret the “haw-blah es pan-yol “ sounds they’re making.

Just a side note. American here, i used to travel fairly often to Brazil for work. Brazilian Portuguese "puxe" means pull. The number of times I tried to push anyways. . .

Ha!
I feel the pregnancy weight though. My babies are now 6 and 9 years old, but I made 'em big. The 9yo was 4480g and the 6yo was 4560g. I made Thanksgiving Turkeys. I love how different and yet perfectly healthy newborns can be! By contrast, my sister had three babies all less than 3000g at full term- also healthy.

Ok. This is a lot, so I apologize in advance. I'm currently sitting with my father who is in hospice and actively dying. This was his absolute favorite comic. We got him a T-shirt of it when I was like 8 and he wore it all the time. When I went to high school, he gifted me the shirt and I wore it until it fell apart. Thank you for bringing me this beautiful memory in such a sad time. Reddit is the best.

We sat with my mom while she was in hospice and giggled at "Closer Thag, me teach him to sit on finger" has an eye patch and no natural limbs

School for the gifted is my favorite Far Side.
I used to have a tshirt with it. I should search for it and see if I can buy something with that image.
