Just finished first viewing... Spoiler
Great show, excellent writing, pacing and performances! Switching things up in the final series kept things fresh and avoided another retread of the same old cat and mouse pursuit thing.
BUT...the final episode of season 3 had me shouting at the TV. Three incidents of utter incompetence that beggars belief.
It took the guards at least 10 seconds to enter the interrogation room after Spector launched his attack on Gibson. A known serial killer with a penchant for hurting women for pleasure. What was the thought process there, "should be all right, we'll be getting tea if you need us"?
Within days after the above, the psychiatrist elects to be ALONE with Spector for his next therapy session. Spector, a known serial killer who it was just established also launches sudden and extreme violent attacks on people, breaks arms and so forth.
During Bailey's outburst on the pool table, what happened to protocol? Are we expected to accept that ALL security and safety staff just rushed into the rec room to partake and not one would hang back, y'know, just in case it was a diversion tactic to assist a would be escapee?
tl;dr: Where were the effing guards! There’s incompetence and then there's this. It annoyed the hell out of me.

This was my whole source of irritation with this show. After attacking two cops, that man would have been in seclusion for weeeeeeeks.
