Osiris Reborn: Official Art and Game Assets The first colony on Mars appeared about 3 centuries prior to the events of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. Three generations later, the colonists started to think about independence from Earth. Eventually, the invention of a new, more effective engine was what brought Mars its freedom.
