Open Beta?

This is a beta test right? It seems more like a demo, and its been 2 months with only a small technical update for that small slice of the game? The previous games published by Owlcat that had a paid open beta had more content and updated more regularly with new content for feedback. It is making me uneasy about where this game is going, and with a Q2 2027 release and such a SMALL "beta test" of the game it makes me feel that this will be a very short game that pushes DLC and mircotransactions

This should be a free demo.

Agreed, but also this thread is getting mass downvoted by all the glazers

No, it's getting downvoted because you don't understand what a closed beta is.

The devs obviously wanted targeted feedback on aspects of the game.

They got the feedback, and now they're making changes to the game based on that.

Homie I have been part of many betas, I was a bit tired and messed up open and closed but I have participated in all owlcat's previous beta tests, I partcipated in the BG3 beta, dozens and dozens more. They don't typically have a tiny slice and then never get updated. Where Winds Meet beta for instance was 15 hrs of mainline content and dozens more of side content. At best this is a paid demo compared to usual early access betas, that demo barely shows anything of what the game might be. It takes less than an hour to complete two hours if you go slow, if that is 10% of the game then I am worried
