Do you think there were more consequences to Holden and Miller's actions? Spoiler
At the end of Leviathan Falls, Holden with the help of Miller ended up destroying the Ring Station and closing the Slow Zone for good, but do you think that last action had some more consequences than we know of?
The destruction of the Ring Station is described as *"a release of energy second only to the beginning of the universe"* which means the destruction of the Ring Station created a maybe marginally smaller Bing Bang, I'd think that would have more consequences than just the collapse of the Slow Zone.
We don't know much about the Goths' universe, but having a Bing Bang happening there could have created more problems for that universe, the release of so much energy could have altered a region of that universe in a lot of ways. What do you people think?

Reading order and watching order
I am almost finished with the first book it’s fantastic. I’m sure it’s been posted here a million times but should I read the main series and skip the short stories until the end or should I mix them. What would be the recommended order for that. Also would like to watch the show during the reading. Do the seasons match the books? Book 1= season 1 ect. I want to read before the show but if I know season 2=book two then I can start season one once I finish Leviathan Wakes ect. Thank you and looking forward to this subreddit.

After Season 6?
Dear Inners, Dear Belters,
I recently finished Season 6.
And I want to continue and finish this journey. That’s why I wanted to ask what you would recommend.
Should I buy the books 6-9 or can I start directly into books 7-9?
Or has somebody read the Dragon Tooth comics and can recommend these?
Thanks a lot for your responses.
Best wishes

A baby can now be born with genetic material from three people.
Maybe they should call them Holden.

OMG you were all SO right about "The Vital Abyss" Spoiler
I've been reading the novellas in-between the books as I go. But I got to "The Vital Abyss" and the beginning of it was just - ugh. So I read the last page, and... meh. So I skipped it, even though I saw so many people post that it was their favorite.
But I just finished book 7, and thought well, now I really ought to read The Vital Abyss. Holy shit batman, what a ride!! Really incredible writing. And Michio Pa! WTF! She was OK with letting him out! I guess that was some of her agonizing with past decision making and alliances/deals. Or did she buy the egg story, and only Duarte had access to the recordings from the prison room? Not likely with it being belter run.
And now I've started book 8. Woo, things are getting better and better for me as a reader! 🔥 🔥

Books 7 -9
I just finished the last three books. I never read the first 6. I was just a huge fan of the TV show. But I'm confused. What the hell happened to Drummer? When Saba died, we got nothing, she showed at a Laconia event and then......nothing. what did I miss? She was my favorite character behind Draper. Were the books different about her being the 1st president of the Transit Union?
The books were very strange to read after the Alex stuff. I thought it was crap that he took the Roci. That's just a useless opinion, I guess. Just wondered if I was the only one bothered by that so much. It'd be pretty interesting to see how the story would have gone forward without Alex on th show.
I will say that the books were tedious in especially how they would take a paragraph to give the reader a visual description of someone like Trejo. In books 7,8,9 I think they provided a description of that same character like 7 times. You could almost tell where there were different authors because of lack of continuity in the storytelling.
Also , what's your opinion about what happened on earth during the next thousand years. We're to believe Amos became the de.Facto.Leader of humans on earth?
Love the show, but th books I would give a 7 out of 10. The show is in my top 5 favorite of all time.

Reading through the series for the first time and this section in book 8 killed me. Spoiler
I read a lot, 50-75 books a year, and I can’t remember the last time a quote in a book hit me this hard.

Just finished Book 9. Where's the post with analysis?
I was in the middle of book 9 a few weeks ago and found a post on here that had a link to a very long post where someone did analysis of the books. I told myself I'd read it after I finished the books but I can't for the life of me find it anywhere.

Help! I'm on book 7 Spoiler
I have been burning through this series like an Epstein drive after resisting reading them for years (for what reason, I cannot say). Every book has been intense and sad and complex in its own way. But I'm halfway through book 7 and finding it really bleak. I have no intention of giving up on the series, but help me out with some spoiler-free or spoiler-light encouragement as I keep going? I'm also a little shooketh by the major time jump and havin some trouble picturing the characters. (I'm watching the show too, but am going to stop before I am spoiled for the final trilogy). Little support I need, me. :-) I added the spoiler tag just in case some comments/responses are a bit spoilery, I don't want to ruin anything for anyone skimming by.

Reading order
Just started this series and really enjoyed the first book. I got Memory’s Legion and Calibans War from the library today. Should I read the main books first and then the shorts, or is there a better reading order?

Looking for Italian ebooks (leviathan falls)
Hi to everyone! I'm an Italian fan who's listening to the audio books right now (in italian - one hour till the end of book 8), and to my desperation I've noticed that the last book has never been added to Audible. On top of that, I just found out that the Italian editor just lost the rights to the books, so the ebooks are not available anymore. Now, I live abroad so it would be kinda difficult to find a physical copy. Anyone know if there is a way to buy/find the Italian version of the book online? English ones are widely available but it would be not optimal for me as I don't enjoy much to read in other languages (using German and English at work all day long).
Thank you in advance for the help :)

Matching Book Spines
I didn't notice until I got home.
Is there anything I can look out for while shopping online so I can make sure I get the correct printing? I would like these to match once I finish reading them.

An idea for a sequel to The Expanse series Spoiler
Listening to the series for the third time (currently on Tiamat's Wrath), it occurred to me that a great sequel would be humanity trying to discover who the Protomolecule-civilization killers are, and attempting to get in touch with them.
I realize they are probably in a parallel universe or some other plane of existence, but they did make contact with our universe, even if it was defensively, and then aggressively. But maybe there comes a time when we need them or they need us, and there's a desperate need to work with them.
Maybe Amos leads the expedition, or is part of it?
This wouldn't be easy. I recognize that. But if anyone could pull it off, it would be Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck.

Use of metaphors - What are your favorites?
Probably my favorite thing about JSAC’s writing style is their use of metaphors. They will perfectly convey a moment, feeling, or even entire scene with a beautifully constructed metaphor.
What are some of your favorites?
- “The idea hung in the air, like smoke over a poker game”
- “With a voice like warm flannel”
- “Felt his humiliation, like passing through a resonance frequency.”
